  Description

  Hi there! We are a mixed Senegalese and Swiss family and we have a permaculture project in Casamance, more precisely in Cabadio! Our project started in 2022! Our main goal in this project is to build our own future by growing medicinal, aromatic and market gardening plants as well as fruit and forest trees! We also work with the local population and we also have an association for the islands located off the coast of Kafountine! We are used to and want to share with people from all over the world and the idea is that workawayers can follow us in our different projects! Casamance is a magnificent area very rich both culturally and in flora and fauna :-) In addition, we are a 20-minute walk from the beach ;-) So come and enjoy evenings around the fire with us while getting involved in a project rich in meaning and learning!

  Nous sommes une famille mixte sénégalaise et Suisse et nous avons un projet en permaculture en Casamance, plus précisément à Cabadio!
  
  Notre projet a démarré en 2022 ! Notre but principal dans ce projet est de construire nous même notre avenir en cultivant des plantes médicinales, aromatiques et maraichère ainsi que des arbres fruitiers et forestiers ! On travail aussi avec la population locale et d'ailleurs nous avons une association pour les îles qui se situent au large de Kafountine !
  
  Nous avons l'habitude et le goût de partager avec des personnes provenant des 4 coins du monde et l'idée est que les workawayers puissent nous suivre dans nos différents projets !
  
  La Casamance est un coin magnifique très riche tant culturellement qu'en faune et flore :-)
  
  En plus, on est à 20min à pieds de la plage ;-)
  
  Alors viens profiter avec nous des soirées autour du feu tout en t'impliquant dans un projet riche de sens et d'apprentissage !

  The setting of our land allows everyone to come and exchange - local people work with us almost every day and there are also visitors who stop by for a coffee, a meal, a day or just to say hello. The cultural context of the country means that the exchange with the local population is constant! We are open and interested in knowing all cultures As part of the association, we sometimes have the opportunity to take those who wish to the islands and there you can discover and be directly anchored in the Diola culture!
  
  Le cadre de notre terrain permet à tout un chacun de venir échanger - des personnes locales travaillent presque tous les jours avec nous et il y a aussi des visiteurs qui passent par chez nous le temps d'un café, un repas, une journée ou juste nous saluer. Le contexte culturel du pays fait que l'échange avec la population locale est constante !
  Nous sommes ouverts et intéressé a connaître toutes les cultures
  Dans le cadre de l'association, nous avons parfois l'occasion d'emmener ceux qui le souhaitent sur les îles et là vous pourrez découvrir et être ancré directement dans la culture diola !

  Help

  Mainly agricultural tasks: making nurseries, planting, watering, turning the soil, weeding
  
  But also construction: taking care of the fence, helping to make earth-straw constructions, solar dryer for example...
  
  Help with cooking and taking care of the spaces
  Taking care of animals when there are any
  
  Most of the tasks are done together but we might need to delegate certain things if we are taken elsewhere
  
  Essentiellement du travail agricol : faire des pépinières, planter, arroser, tourner la terre, désherber
  
  Mais aussi de construction : s'occuper de la clôture, aider à faire des constructions en terre-paille, séchoir solaire par exemple...
  
  Aide à la cuisine et au soins des espaces
  S'occuper des animaux lorsqu'il y en a
  
  La plupart des tâches se font ensemble mais nous pourrions avoir besoin de déléguer certaines choses si nous sommes pris ailleurs

  Accommodation

  -3 tents for 1 or 2 people are available. Bedding is also provided -1 small house in which to store all the belongings safely - 1 outdoor shower -1 dry toilet -for the moment you have to draw water directly from the well but the installation of running water is in progress. -1 equipped kitchen is also available. -the power to charge phones is in the kitchen -on working days; breakfast (usually bread, coffee, tea) and lunch (most often Senegalese meals based on rice and different local sauces with meat or fish) is provided, in the evening we eat on the ground and we gladly share what we have but it is possible that we go out and therefore the kitchen is available for the woofers to cook something (at their own expense)
  
  -3 tentes 1 ou 2 places sont à disposition. La literie est fournie aussi
  -1 petite maison dans laquelle mettre toutes les affaires en sécurité
  - 1 douche extérieure
  -1 toilette sèche
  -pour l'instant il faut puiser au puit directement mais l'installation de l'eau courante est en cours.
  -1 cuisine équipée est à disposition aussi.
  -le courant pour charger les téléphones se trouve dans la cuisine
  -les jours de travail ; le petit déjeuner (en général pain, café thé)et le déjeuner (le plus souvent ce sont des repas sénégalais a base de riz et differentes sauces locales à la viande ou au poisson) est fourni , le soir à priori nous mangeons sur le terrain et nous partageons volontiers ce que nous avons mais il est possible que l'on sorte et donc la cuisine est à disposition pour que les woofers se cuisine quelque chose (a leur frais)
