Description
An organic farming estate in Umbria close to the vibrant city of Perugia. The Estate consists of 6 hectares of organic vineyards, a 1000 tree olive Grove, Truffle wood and 16th Century Luxury Villa.
The property is owned by an English couple who divide their time between London and Italy. David and Chrissie manage the property with their team who consist of a diverse group of international people- including Australia, England, Italy, France, Albania.
The business started in 2014 and we continually working to grow and develop it. We have an organic vineyard and we make approximately 25000 bottles of wine a year. The wine is been made on site in our own cantina.
We have a very active winery where we arrange wine tastings, cooking classes, truffle hunts and we have our own vegetable garden. We are working towards being able to source the majority of the food we serve from our own gardens.
We also have a luxury villa that can be rented for up to 14 guests and we arrange food and wine tours, family holidays and weddings.

There is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a growing business, you will work with Italians, English, Australians and guests from all over the world.
You will be working in a local Umbria business and become part of the life of the estate but also the area.
Your work will be mainly in the winery as a sommelier and will also range from cleaning, gardening, working in the vineyard and also the winery during the wine making processes.Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

Help
We are looking for a couple or single person from 15th August 2025 to end of November 2025.
We ask for a commitment for this whole period.
We will provide a wonderful apartment at the vineyard and payment in accordance with the workaway terms. There is very good internet and all utilities are paid for.
We are looking for someone who is a sommelier or looking to be qualified as a sommelier and who is interested in wine and food tourism and hospitality. Also someone who is happy to get involved with cleaning and gardening and general help.
Fluent or working knowledge in both English and Italian.
A car is required and so please ONLY apply if you have use of your own car.
I am afraid we cannot accommodate any animals.

We are located in the heart of Umbria and there are many many wonderful places to visit and explore all close by including Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Sienna, Cortona, Lake Trasimeno and easy day trips to Florence, Rome and many of the famous Tuscan locations.
