    Description

Come and help out in our Retreat Centre at the Agean Sea. We started off as a turkish/french/spanish/german couple with 2 sons and a wonderful staff of local Turkish people running a 15 rooms, a seminar hall and a pool, ecologically built Retreat Centre.

Now that the place has grown more than we had expected to, our lovely Shirin is running the center and looks forward to welcome you!

We provide workshops, seminars and trainings almost all year around. Our local and international Facilitators come from all walks of life; all are dedicated to meditation and self inquiry, and are sharing their knowledge in Family Constellation, Detox, Ayurveda, Yoga, Breath, Massage, Zen Coaching, Sufism, Shamanic Energywork, Feng Shui, Osho Active Meditation, Osho Meditative Therapies, Vipassana, Za Zen…

Further more we are passionate about vegetarian, vegan & raw foods.

The inspiration for the architecture of our Retreat we took from the Village Eski Karakaya which was built by the locals in 15th century to protect themselves from piracy at those times. Its hidden on the mountains of Karakaya viewing the Greek islands Kalimnos and Leros. We used wherever possible original, local and natural materials, such as stone for the walls of the houses, lime & sand as the mortar and the roofs are constructed out of a special local earth, wood, sea weed, local herbs, local bamboo and clay tiles.

Located in a beautiful fisherman town, but up in its rocky mountain, Karakaya is really on the other end of the sea from the beautiful Greek islands. It is very easy to travel from Bodrum to everywhere in the southern and Aegean coast of Turkey.
As well as cultural heritage of the land and the variety of people who are circulating throughout the whole season, volunteers are always welcomed to join the offered daily meditations, some offered yoga classes, sometimes dances, evening events(if there is an event happening).

If interested, they can explore a lot about the Anatolian, Mediterranean cuisine, gluten-free and vegetarian cooking. In short, they can explore a healthy living and self inquiry in the meantime.

    Help

Volunteers help us with diverse activities.
We would highly appreciate a skilled photography, video making and social media help!
In the months of July-August we would love to have someone who is passionate about creating and spending time with kids ranging 6 year-old to 12 year-old kids!

Helping us recycle, or offer anything you are good at that you think would help us or add color to our lives! Playing and making projects with the kids. Watering, weeding and planting the gardens. Helping our cook and create healthy food in our beautiful kitchen with huge windows facing the valley.

The Retreat is only 10 minutes away from the seaside village of Gümüşlük by car or scooter. The hike down the valley to the village is approximately 30 min. Gümüşlük Sea Side village is a fisher man village with many fish restaurants along the waterfront. You can visit the remains of the sunken city Myndos. A local farmers’ market is held every Wednesday.
There are beautiful hidden bays 'n 15 mins walk from the village center.
The busses run in every 20 mins to Bodrum center and other neighborhoods in Bodrum.

So even tho it is up in the heights- you are close to the other parts of the city!
