Description
We live on the Sunshine Coast BC Canada, have a lovely very private garden. We have several projects to be done including some gardening, fence work, moss removal from roof, firewood sorting, possibly painting and general yard work. I have a private art and music studio with a room for Work away participant to stay. Bathroom, tv, wifi and other amenities. Electrical heat. Portable air conditioner. My 2 indoor cats stay there during the daytime and have access to an outdoor cat room. Beautiful setting, and unique buildings on property, only 5 min by car to the small town of Gibsons. Several beaches within walking distance. Also many forested trails nearby. Public transport available. Environmentally friendly, organic garden. Seasonal pond. And 2 small garden ponds. Very sunny. Just over 1/2half acre, but feels larger. A unique and friendly place to visit!

Gibsons is a beautiful coastal town with great restaurants , parks and several music and cultural events. Population under 10,000. Keats island is a short (10min) boat ride away. Lots of beaches. Library, theatres, markets. Very friendly community. Earth Day event 15 min away at the even smaller village of Roberts Creek. Gibsons has free outdoor music events all summer in a park facing the harbour. Forested mountain trails and many streams across the flanks of Mt Elphinstone, just a few minutes above our property. Several small lakes within an hours drive. We think this is one of the most beautiful places on Earth to live. More artists and musicians I think than anywhere in Canada. Vancouver City is a 40 min ferry ride away on a most stunning route. We are on the mainland, but only accessible by ferry. A wonderful paradise to explore.
Help
My first projects involve some fence work, woodpile sorting, gardening and yard work . Also moss removal from a small one story rental house on the property. Possibly, in future, some computer help. A skilled, creative carpenter who also can do some yard work would be a good start.

Private, quiet sunny room in art/music studio with skylight. No smoking on property. Kitchen has a sink but no stove, though a kettle could be set up and possibly other cooking devices once I feel comfortable with worker. Full bathroom. There is a portable cooler. Air conditioning and electric heat. Surrounded by beautiful flowery garden. I understand that as host I provide some food and meals if required. Guest can eat at studio or join usin the yard or at our small heritage cottage.
What else ...
This is a semi rural area called Elphinstone, just outside of Gibsons Town, which is within a 1/2 hr walking distance. Public transport on our street. Our road is a main route and can be busy, but it is not visible from our property. And it is generally quiet after a rural rush hour. The studio is set back from road and not visible at all. We are an organic garden, providing quite a bit of our food. Fully fenced yard, with very little visibility of neighbor's homes, though they are relatively close by. I am looking for some help as a trial for a couple of weeks, perhaps a month, May or June. A capable carpenter for fence work and other yard work is what I need. I take care of most of the gardens.
