Description
Hi! we are a family of five, living up north in Norway, in the small county of Tranøy/Hamarøy. We live here on the countryside and channel our energy into the beautiful sport of dogsledding. The area is surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature, perfectly fitted for the sport.
However, dogsledding is a very physical and demanding job, an that's why we need YOU! we would love to have someone here to help out with the tasks surrounding the sport, and overall balance out the workload.Work around the house and in the house like move the snow, clean in the house, would also become part of the tasks.
It is very important that you are a positive person and a happy worker, but most of all an animal lover!
We are not running a business with dogs, but we train them for personal use for tours and races.
Currently we are preferring people who can stay from the 10 of Desember2025 until the end of April 2026 ,for the hole period. That's the time we would need most help! If that doesn't fit for you, please contact me at another time of the year. Happy to hear from you though if that period fit's for you.Types of help and learning opportunities

My spontaneous luck to be part of Natalia's family, to look after her cuddly, crazy animals and to be allowed to live with them was a gift. Being outside from morning to evening, endless cheese sandwiches and culinary delights in the evening were of course a must! So it was quite bearable. But watch out: the… read more

I stayed a month with Natalia and her family, it was a really lovely time. I love working outside with the dogs and working in the garden, so this was exactly what I was hoping for.
Lots to do and in a beautiful quiet area, I also learned about how to use the flowers and plants that are growing in the area. For everyone who love dogs, like to… read more
if you love dogs, lovely people, good food, cats, (and chickens), you've found the best host here. I spent a month here and there was something to do every day. No matter if the weather is bad or sunny and 25 degrees, the dogs all want to be cuddled and are very happy when they see you,… read more
Well, you didn’t make it easy for us to say goodbye. After a month full of wagging dog tails, delicious rhubarb cake, creative projects, hikes in the midnight sun, fishing trips and so many more experiences, we just couldn’t get enough of you.
From the first moment we felt comfortable… read more
I stayed with Natalia and her lovely family for 3 weeks. It is that I had to go home because I had things to do, but I can confidently say that I would have stayed longer if I could. All 5 of the family are very welcoming people and… read more
