Description
I am an environmental activist working on an ecovillage project in Al-Balqa in Jordan. The project aims at restoring natural building techniques and heritage combined with full ecological systems: rainwater harvesting, solar energy, regenerative life styles, etc that would serve as educational models that can be replicated in different areas. The project is located in the middle of a forest with scenery views, privacy and close to a number of villages that we wish to serve and integrate in.

We have now a couple of accommodation options: shared and independent. We can update our potential guests on availability in due course. Soon we will open the first mud built accommodation unit.
We will provide food for our guests, mostly vegetarian. What else ...
The project is located in the beautiful countryside close to a number of villages. We cooperate with some local CBOs and our guests can visit them and help their members besides getting to know their style of living.
The ecovillage is 10 minutes by bus from the city of Salt which still maintains rich cultural and architectural heritage and is fun to walk around in its old narrow streets. There are buses from the area, around 7 minutes walking from the site, to Salt and from Salt to Amman. People are hospitable and often offer lifts to guests.A little more information
