Description
We are Simona and Angelo, a couple of photographers passionate about sustainable living and creating meaningful connections. We live in a large farmhouse in Torino di Sangro, Abruzzo, surrounded by nature, with a garden, a vegetable patch, and fields. Our dog Yuri, an affectionate and calm companion, is also part of our family.
Our project is to offer a unique cohousing experience, welcoming individuals or couples who wish to contribute to gardening, vegetable patch care, and light maintenance in exchange for independent accommodation and shared moments. Sustainability is at the core of our lifestyle, and we are committed to antifascist and anti-racist values.
We grow chickpeas, soy, wheat, and fresh seasonal vegetables for our own consumption and would love to teach Workawayers how to care for these crops while sharing our approach to self-production and rural living. Whether you're looking to reconnect with nature, learn about sustainable agriculture, or simply enjoy the Italian countryside, we look forward to welcoming you!Types of help and learning opportunities

You will stay in a fully independent apartment within our farmhouse. The apartment includes:
- A kitchen where you can cook your own meals.
- Two bedrooms, allowing us to host up to two people (or a couple and a friend).
- A shared bathroom.
The space is comfortable, quiet, and ideal for those seeking both independence and the opportunity to connect with us during shared moments.
For Workawayers coming to help, we ensure they always have access to a fully stocked pantry with a variety of high quality food items, including fresh vegetables, legumes, grains, and anything else they might need for preparing their meals. Additionally, they are welcome to harvest seasonal produce from our vegetable garden and fruit trees, which are always at their disposal.
When we are home, we’re happy to share communal vegan meals, creating opportunities for exchange and connection.
While we are vegan ourselves, if Workawayers prefer to buy and cook non-vegan food, they are free to do so in their private kitchen within their independent accommodation. What else ...
While there are buses available to reach the beach and nearby towns, having your own transportation is highly recommended and will greatly enhance your experience here. Our farmhouse is in a rural area, surrounded by nature, and although the nearest supermarket is within walking distance, most of the local attractions, such as the Costa dei Trabocchi, historic villages, and scenic trails are best accessed by car or other private transport.
Having your own vehicle will give you the freedom to explore Abruzzo at your own pace and truly enjoy the beauty and diversity of the region. Public transport options are limited in frequency and coverage, so being self-sufficient will make your stay more convenient and enjoyable.A little more information
