Description
Hi! I'm Janneke and with Boris we live with our three kids (8 years old and two teenagers) in a small white church. We live in the smallest village ever, in Ommel. But it's Holland: the neirest village is at 2 kilometers and has really every shop and restaurant you can imagine. There are small woods here and you can walk and hike, although it's flat. There's a wild garden with our special building on it (we have an B&B and guest-house and organize Events in the little Church). We have chickens and would love a goat for the milk and create a vegetable garden together. It's the smallest little paradise in Holland. We like perma-culture, organic fresh food and good company. You can stay in a lovely wooden house, bigger than a Tiny house but smaller than the church.
We don’t need business help, only with our family & garden so we can learn our kids to live & eat together with (Foreign) people and learn English.Types of help and learning opportunities

We are a not a so typical Dutch family with almost never a dull moment. We work most from our house and prefer camp-fire above teevee. We are not a 8 till 5 family. A couple (or two or three persons who know eachother) can stay in our garden in a wooden house. Small but cosy. We have a young child (8 years old) and she loves to play games (we also). We have a teenage boy he likes too be inspired with workers by heart (not brains). We don't like the school-system over here so we are trying to be or own little community.
We like to bake bread, make kombucha or self-care products with herbs and seeds and oil and we can learn you how to do that yourself. We don't need you to be able to know everything like painting or paving or building already, you will learn the most by doing it. Or we can learn from you! Thats even better!Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
Very different tasks. Not a day the same. Building a chicken-house, create a (vegetable) garden, some paving, sometimes doing the laundry (or folding), building a little wooden house for the goat, making a fence, cooking or preparing lunch and diner, bake bread, harvest some seeds, painting. But there is also a lot of space for your own imationation and creatifity. Like the chicken-house or building a toilet or terras. We don't work with drawings but we start and somethings wil come as they are in the process and will change during the process. Sometimes we work together (bigger projects) and some-times there are just little household tasks that just needs to be done. Even walking the dog or feeding the chicken.

A little wooden house in the garden. It's very suitable for a couple or two or three persons who know each-other. You will sleep together (two beds right next to each-other) It's private with no neighbours, in a wild garden.
We will provide you breakfest; eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, granola, bread and some jam or typical dutch things to go on the bread. For lunch you eat with us for the most of the week. Some lunches will be prepared by us and we can eat in our big kitchen or garden (oeps the weather....) together. Some lunches can be prepared by yourself.
For diner the same, some days it's part of the task to cook for all the people (we are with 5 or 6). Some days you don't have to prepare dinner and you will be taken care off by us and we eat together. But there will be days, you make your own dinner in the wooden house and we will only provide the ingredients. Or we can cook together outside (on the fire). What else ...
You can hike, bike, walk and run. The area is great for that! You can borrow our bikes or even our car (if you have a licence ;-). The nearest train-station is 10 minutes away (Deurne). And Asten, the nearest village) is 2 km away and has all the things you need. Eindhoven is 10 minutes by train and there is a lot too see. We have a ruine/castle (Asten-heusden) and musea (klok en peel) and Helmond is also a city close to Ommel/Asten.
