Thank you so much to all the people who came stay with me to help me care for my beautiful dog. It has so been appreciated and he had a lot of fun meeting all of you <3
The parts about my dog can be left out. Everything else still applies ;)
Hi, I'm Wendy, living in the centre of Rotterdam together with my dog Rizla (16)
He's is a Jack Russel/Chiuwawa cross who's very chill and friendly.
Due to him getting older he has some health problems and I can really use some help dog sitting when I'm out for appointments or other things I cannot take my dog to. I never have morning appointment so it would only ever be in the afternoon or (early) evening. Help around the house is also very much appreciated!
Since a year I have my own creative business in plants & pressed flower art which I sell from home, online, in shops and very sporadically on markets. I have an Etsy shop which has been really fun so far.
A few things to consider before applying:
• Please notice he is old and ill, and really needs care. Please only apply when you have experience with caring for dogs and more importantly a lot of love for them.
I take his health and wellbeing very serious.
• I respect you being vegetarian or vegan, but my dog gets cooked chicken and sticks that have chicken and fish in them, so if you have a problem touching meat to feed him this might not be the best place for you.
• Rizla and I love other dogs, but unfortunately having them in the house isn't possible anymore due to his health
• Please bring your own breakfast

I live right outside the centre of the city, public transport is nearby and even by walking would take only 10minutes to the centre. Renting a bike would be a good idea (try donkey republic, they wre cheap and have bikes all around the city)
I love being outside though and there is a big lake nearby which is my second home.
Prefered stay is from monday-friday, since weekends are busy around my house and I really need some rest, specially on saturday
I prefer to host one workawayer at a time

My dog is getting older and it is getting harder for me to leave the house and set up my business, especially since I have an illness that makes me tired more easily then most people.
I'm looking for someone to help me out with dog sitting, so I can go out sometimes and don't have to worry while at appointments and help focus on my business
Some help around the house, doing groceries or making diner and giving me a hand with picking up plants or setting up a market is also highly appreciated.
I also have a 40m2 garden away from home, growing herbs, flowers and vegetables. If you want to come along there you are super welcome! Rizla comes along, except in winter when its really cold.

Accommodation
Room in the house
The house has 2 floors. It's very bright and and you'll have your own room behind the kitchen. During the day I have to get some things there some times, but in the evenings it's all yours
I sleep around 10/11pm and wake up around 9am. Since there is no door between my room and the front door (just stairs) I kindly ask my guests to be back 11pm so I can get the sleep I require for my health. Thanks for understanding
We will share the shower, kitchen and living room.
No smoking or shoes in the house
What else ...
Trams and busses are 2 min walking away. Central station is 20min walking.
There's lots of nice coffee places in the surroundings, restaurants alike, and a super nice farmersmarket on Saturdays.
I live pretty close to a big lake and forrest (Kralingse plas). So eventhough you're in the city some nature is still close by.
My fridge is usually full with veggies, but if you like fish or chicken can provide that aswell once a week. Maybe it's good to mention I eat gluten free as much as possible and you should take care of your own breakfast.
I'm into wild foraging and swimming alot too so if you want to join welcome!
