Description
I’m based on 300 acres of coastal land, with 3km of sandy surf beach, facing west with stunning sunsets, on King Island, south of Melbourne, in the middle of Bass Strait. The island is 60km by 20km with only 1500 people mostly involved in farming or Tourisim. It is a 3/4 hour flight from Melbourne or northern Tasmania, with return flights from $370 return when booked ahead.
As a returned traveller I want to share this beautiful place with others and meet interesting people. As a life coach, I want to create a space where people can come to be, to heal, to explore and grow; connecting with themselves, each other and nature. And as a frequent back packer, I want to provide the opportunity for travellers to rest and recover through staying in one place for a while without a strain on your budget!
I can provide a beautiful location to camp (tent or dome provided, solar power and cooking utensils but you buy and prepare your own food) in exchange for a couple of hours a day setting the place up better for workawayers, setting up vege gardens, weeding or clearing tracks, all negotiable to fit in with what you would like to do. Personal development, life coaching, astrology readings offered if wanted. Sea kayaks and old surfboard available to borrow and swimming in the surf is great, though chilly in winter / spring months.
First step is to reach out, and we can talk; about where you’re at, what you’d like, when you’d like to visit and how we can co create a dynamic that works for all of us.Types of help and learning opportunities

Environmental managements tasks such as
- Weeding
- Clearing brush for tracks and fire prevention
- maintenance of basic infrastructure used by workway guests
- guests welcome to offer ideas for other things.
Setting up and maintaining a vegetable garden, some landscaping and painting.
Tasks are done with the host for private purposes (not a business) and I look forward to sharing skills with visitors, particularly surfing and knowledge of the local land and animals while learning from and through them.Languages

Mostly camping, with one dome house available, hopefully more in the future
What else ...
Awesome world class surfing on the island, great surf fishing, coastal hiking (I’m setting up a 8 day circumnavigation of the island). A beautiful place to just relax for a while and refresh with minimal impact on your budget once the flight has been paid for.
