    THE PLACE

I live in the mountains on my own, quite isolated in a very tranquil area surrounded by forest and a small river. the land has some fields where we grow vegetables for our own needs. There are two cats and a herd of sheep, they are the fellows I live with.

    WHAT DO WE DO HERE

My main porpouse is to tend to self-sustained way of living, growing organic almost everything I eat and try to do as much products as possible depending less and less from the supermarket. It must be said that I am on the way to self-sufiscientness, so slowely slowely I try it every day.
As we are quite isolated we could say that we live off grid, however I still have internet connecting the phone on a computer which helps me to be one step more entangled

    WHY I DO WORK AWAY

There are two main purpose. The first of all is because I have so many things to do here (specially building a house), and would be nice some help, jejejeje
The second and and not less important is because i would like people to know different ways of living in this world. I think we should live in a more sustainable and simple way. So if just some people get a bit inspired to live in the nature and with the nature, I will feel satisfied enough!!

    INFORMATION ABOUT ME

Just in the case, if you interest some information about me I was born in 1985 (currently 38 years old), interested in many things, among them I mostly like meditation, buddhism, simplicity and new ways of living and doing, self-sufficiency, growing and making things on my own, low ecologycal impact, come back to the origin, and the Art of living (which I do my best to improve it day by day).
I love to learn and teach, share with people and enjoy nice talks.
Playing board games are a big hobby as well.

You are very welcome to come and see and let hope we have a nice meeting.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

The benfits of a cultural exchange depend on the background and interests of each individual, the same goes for what they can learn. But I tell you that if you have interest on seeing ways of living and learning how to build and managing a countryside/farm house here you have the chance to see and learn many things.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

I live in a small part of the house, where there are two rooms of 20 square meters one on top of the other. So the first floor is the kitchen, and the second floor is my bedroom. You can sleep on my bedroom on mattress on the floor, or if you prefer some more privacy we can put a mattress in the kitchen, the kitchen though is a shared area so if anyone wakes up earlyer than you or goes to bed later than you it might be a bit disturbing. There is another option I have a big old camping tent, where there is enough space to put a double bed or three beds, plus a small table and some chairs and one can even stand without problem. A third option would be to build a quick simple forest hut.

Concerning the food, I almost don't eat meat nor fish, only if someone gives it to me.
My meals are very simple based on rise, pasta, legums, eggs and vegetables from my garden and also some fruit (less often in summer as I dont have fridge) and if it is time to milk the sheeps there is also milk and iogurt. I live very simple and so I eat. I use to eat oats for breakfast and two meals more per day. I will provide with everything I eat, dont worry you will not suffer from hunger at all, but do not expect a lot of diversity nor any fancy food, not even cheese, creams, etc (basically anything that comes inside of a plastic container you will mostly not find it here). However in case you want something that I have not, you are welcome to bring anything you want for your own wish, no problem.

I don't drink alcohol no problem if you make use of it with moderation, of course. I don't smoke, you can smoke outside not inside. If you smoke joints or use any other kind of drugs please better you leave them somewhere else before to come here and DON'T MAKE ANY USE OF IT WHILE YOU STAY HERE, thank youuuu.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Well you can do whatever you want in your time of course, but we are bit far from "social activity". The house is few km far from the village. 17 minuts downhill by bycicle you reach, a very small town called Mieres, 250 people. The problem is your way back, you have to go up hill more than 350 positive meters to reach the house again. So it is quite a tyring hill. Honestly doesn't really invites to do it at all.
Once you reach the village you have 13km more from the next two cities (Banyoles and Olot) where you could find some activities.

BEFORE DECIDING TO COME TO HELP ON THIS PROJECT MAKE SURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL BE QUITE ISOLATED FOR LONG TIME AS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO MOVE FREELY. IF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THAT, PLEASE RECONSIDER TO SEND A REQUEST, and if you do, make sure to write together with your first request which is your best breakfast meal, like this I know you have read this important part, thanks.
