  Welcome to the coal mill - Retreat
  
  Hello, I am Guido, Dipl. Social pedagogue, musician and owner of the old coal mill. I am a father of two children and live here in a very special place that I would like to share with other people.
  
  The coal mill is perfectly quiet and close to nature in the popular and attractive volcano region of Vogelsberg. The low mountain range with Hesse's highest mountain—the Wasserkuppe—is 45 km away.
  The approximately 1 hectare large property offers plenty of space to rest, to gain distance from everyday life and to experience yourself again as part of nature.
  
  The city of Fulda is 23 km away. I can pick you up there.
  
  If you live here, you have a spacious and very nice room with a double bed, private bathroom, TV and Wi-Fi at your disposal. The place is therefore also very suitable for traveling couples. The arrival by bus and train is possible. Shopping facilities can be found in Grebenhain, about 7 km away. Bicycles are available and can be used.
  
  On the site there are various possibilities to enjoy the free time: swimming facilities, a campfire place and a small sauna in the old mill building. In addition to me, you can also meet my girlfriend and friends and acquaintances here. Two dear Bengal cats also belong to the Mühlen community.
  
  As a musician, I am particularly happy about traveling musicians. A spontaneous and cozy music session with guitar, double bass, piano, banjo, accordion and drums is possible at any time. Music, cooking together, campfires and good conversations are just as much a part of a successful workaway stay for me as working together.
  
  It is important to me that the workaway does not only consist of work, but above all of meeting, exchange, time together and experiencing this special place.

  Hallo, ich bin Guido, Dipl. Sozialpädagoge, Musiker und Besitzer der alten Kohlenmühle. Ich bin Vater von zwei Kindern und lebe hier an einem ganz besonderen Ort, den ich gerne mit anderen Menschen teilen möchte.
  Die Kohlenmühle liegt vollkommen ruhig und naturnah in der beliebten und attraktiven Vulkanregion Vogelsberg. Das etwa 1 Hektar große Grundstück bietet viel Raum, um zur Ruhe zu kommen, Abstand vom Alltag zu gewinnen und sich wieder als Teil der Natur zu erfahren.
  
  Die Stadt Fulda liegt 23 km entfernt. Dort kann ich euch abholen.
  
  Wenn du hier wohnst, steht dir ein geräumiges und sehr schönes Zimmer mit Doppelbett, eigenem Bad, Fernseher und WLAN zur Verfügung. Der Platz eignet sich daher auch sehr gut für reisende Paare. Die Anreise mit Bus und Bahn ist möglich. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im etwa 7km entfernten Grebenhain. Fahrräder sind vorhanden und können gerne genutzt werden.
  
  Auf dem Gelände gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten, die freie Zeit zu genießen: Bademöglichkeiten, einen Lagerfeuerplatz und eine kleine Sauna im alten Mühlengebäude. Neben mir kannst du hier auch meiner Freundin sowie Freunden und Bekannten begegnen. Zwei liebe Bengalkatzen gehören ebenfalls zur Mühlen-Gemeinschaft.
  
  Als Musiker freue ich mich ganz besonders über reisende Musikerinnen und Musiker. Eine spontane und gemütliche Musiksession mit Gitarre, Kontrabass, Klavier, Banjo, Akkordeon und Trommeln ist jederzeit möglich. Musik, gemeinsames Kochen, Lagerfeuer und gute Gespräche gehören für mich genauso zu einem gelungenen Workaway-Aufenthalt wie die gemeinsame Arbeit.
  
  Mir ist wichtig, dass das Workaway nicht nur aus Arbeit besteht, sondern vor allem auch aus Begegnung, Austausch, gemeinsamer Zeit und dem Erleben dieses besonderen Ortes.
  
  Ich freue mich darauf, dich kennenzulernen und vielleicht schon bald in der Kohlenmühle willkommen zu heißen!

  Help

  There is always something to do around the mill. Mowing the lawn, stacking wood, light creative gardening. But also like to paint the house with colorful paint.
  
  Rund um die Mühle gibt es immer etwas zu tun. Rasen mähen, Holz aufstapeln, leichte kreative Gartenarbeit. Gerne aber auch mal das Haus mit Farbe bunt bemalen.

  Accommodation

  There are three meals a day. If I am at work and not at home, you are more than welcome to use the ingredients we have to cook for yourself. We can also happily cook together! I can make you typical German dishes, like chicken soup, or a delicious vegan Indian dhal. I would also love to try out recipes from your home country.We have a cosy kitchen with a big table and a counter for cooking. We also have an old wood-fired kitchen stove, which is a very romantic and warm cooking highlight (an electric stove is available too).
  As we say in Germany: Liebe geht durch den Magen – the way to a person's heart is through their stomach!
  
  Wenn du hier wohnst, steht dir ein geräumiges und sehr schönes Zimmer mit Doppelbett, eigenem Bad, Fernseher und WLAN zur Verfügung. Der Platz eignet sich daher auch sehr gut für reisende Paare.   What else ...

  In our free time we can go for a walk together, take a trip, get to know the country and people, etc. We can also do sports, yoga and meditations together. There is also a small sauna in the old mill building. And we can sing and make music together. The Hohe Rotskopf is the nearest high mountain. To Frankfurt am Main it is only 90km. You can also drive into the Rhön and visit the baroque town of Fulda. 10 km away in Herbstein there is a beautiful warm spa with volcanic water from 2000m depth. There is a beautiful lake in 7km distance (Niedermooser See). Or just stay at home and chill the base and enjoy the beautiful place and come to rest. When the weather is nice, you can cool off in one of our small ponds. The river runs directly along the property. Here you can also hike the river and observe animals.
  
  In der Freizeit können wir gemeinsam spazieren gehen, mal einen Ausflug machen, Land und Leute kennen lernen, etc. Gerne können wir auch Sport, Yoga und Meditationen zusammen machen. Es gibt auch eine kleine Sauna im alten Mühlengebäude. Und wir können zusammen singen und musizieren. Der hohe Rotskopf ist der nächstgelegene hohe Berg. Nach Frankfurt am Main sind es nur 90km. Man kann auch in die Rhön fahren und die Barockstadt Fulda besuchen. 10 km entfernt in Herbstein gibt es eine schöne warme Therme mit Vulkanwasser aus 2000m Tiefe. Es gibt einen schönen See in 7km Entfernung (Niedermooser See). Oder einfach mal zu Hause bleiben und die Base chillen und den schönen Ort genießen und zur Ruhe kommen. Bei schönem Wetter kannst du dich in einem unserer kleinen Teiche abkühlen. Der Fluss läuft direkt am Grundstück entlang. Hier kann man auch schön Fluß wandern und Tiere beobachten.

  Your motorhome should not be too big. about 6m by 2.40m. Otherwise, the entrance could be difficult. I have two cats and fish in the pond. I am a non-smoker. Smoking is possible outside. I could also accommodate a couple with a child in the double room. Dein Wohnmobil sollte nicht zu groß sein .ca. 6m auf 2,40m. Die Einfahrt könnte sonst schwierig werden. Ich habe zwei Katzen und Fische im Teich. Ich bin Nichtraucher. Rauchen ist draußen möglich. Ich könnte im Doppelzimmer auch ein Pärchen mit Kind aufnehmen.
