    Description

    Hey!
We are Marjolaine and Jean Pablo. Each of us have two children aged from 6 to 11 years old who live half time with us.
We live in Barre des Cevennes in a quiet hamlet, 5 km away from the nearest village. It's very quiet & picturesque, surrounded with woodlands and pastures. We let grow and planted many trees, made different garden places, dry toilets, a compost heap etc .
We'd like to enlarge the garden with more fruit trees and renovate part of our house here.
Part time , we move to Clermont l'Herault were we also own a 5 ha field with hundred of fruits trees already big and a vegetable garden.
We'd like to build a solar dryer for our many fruits and make more music with friends, families and travelers.
    Welcome !!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our home is really a place where we try not to destroy nature, and preserve it as much as we can. So we use wood as a heater during winter, little water in the summer.
We buy organic and local as much as we can.
We like to learn and share skills on alternative parenting, home-schooling, recipes, plant uses, gardening, trees caring, grafting, permaculture, rocket stove, life, joy, music etc ...

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Simple Independent house next door to ours. It consists of two bedrooms, a main kitchen-living room and a small bathroom. The house has a wood burning stove, gas cooker and basic equipment for cooking and eating. Very simple comfort. Can be cold during winter time from December to march, so for those who fear the cold it's best not to come during winter.
What is best for us during winter time is that you cover expenses for food, wood and electricity. In exchange of housing we'll ask you for about 10 hours of work per week.
