Description
I am Sayed and I am a local Siwan native that has been working with Western Desert safaris for over 20 years. Currently I am developing my own projects on my ecofarm and renovating houses for rent. I am a crazy person with a wide range of experience in various jobs building houses naturally from mud and salt, desert safari guiding, growing up in the desert studying nature in its reality, traveling to 15 countries learning about their different cultures and natures... and I have so much love and I want to pass it to people. I love to welcome all guests and share the beauty of our oasis.

Siwa enjoys a rich culture with its own native customs and traditions being the most isolated oasis in Egypt. Siwans descend from Berbers and we speak our own unwritten language called Siwi. Siwa has remained in near complete isolation until the construction of the road from Marsa Matrouh just less than 40 years ago. Come experience living in a place sort of untouched by time and sort of meeting the modern world, very connected to simple living. We have many things to learn from each other!
Help
I have so many projects going on and currently I am focused on looking for help with renovating and building an ecolodge on a beautiful piece of land at a special location. We are working together interconnected with nature really making use of its abundance to allow the serenity and energy of the environment to be super homey and comfortable to be enjoyed.
We need help from almost all areas possible: designers, artists (wood sculpting, recycling natural materials to incorporate them into decoration and furniture), builders, gardeners, marketers to help us raise funds for our project, agronomists, engineers... There are many various jobs requiring a wide range of skills and we are receptive to any of the ways you could contribute in helping us out with creating our paradise together!
I am also looking for a helper to clean and maintain a home that is sometimes used for rent or to host tourists. Friends, tourists, family, and guests are sometimes hosted for dinner or other gatherings here that the Workawayer can join and help.Languages spoken

You will have your home in a comfortable apartment alone or shared with other volunteers. This is also the home the housekeeper will be taking care of. It is 15 minutes walk to Shali, the main center of the town, and there is a nice rooftop area to enjoy. For food we will cook/share/provide you with 2 meals/day.
What else ...
As I am working with tourism, there may be some spontaneous opportunities to explore some of the many historical sites in Siwa, as well as the magnificent desert that surrounds our oasis, the Great Sand Sea.
