    Description

Hi! We're a young couple living in Avignon, and we're looking for a hand with some DIY helpfor about two weeks. We'd also love it if you got along with our two friendly cats, who'll be around during your stay.

    The help:

Helping us renovate the kitchen and bathroom on the first floor (painting, tiling, finishing touches, general DIY — happy to adapt depending on your skills and interests)

    About 2 weeks, flexible dates
No experience required, just willingness to learn and lend a hand

    The house:

70 m² first floor, fully functional
    120 m² garden
    Ground floor still under renovation
Free parking space for your car
    Adorable neighbors

    Location:
We're close to the beautiful historic center of Avignon (Palace of the Popes), surrounded by great hiking spots and charming Provençal villages — plenty to explore on your days off.

If you enjoy hands-on projects, don't mind a house mid-renovation, and love cats, we'd be happy to host you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

If you enjoy hiking, there are stunning landscapes and picturesque Provençal villages very easy to reach!
We really recommend having a car to enjoy your stay, but it's not mandatory since there's a lot to see around accessible by train or bus.
We’re a 15-minute walk from the city center (5 minutes by bike), with plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and wine cellars to discover.
Avignon is a historic medieval city with an incredible heritage and atmosphere.
And if you miss the buzz of a big city, Marseille is only 35 minutes away from Avignon TGV station!

We're in the final stretch of some DIY help — we're redoing the kitchen and bathroom ourselves, with a bit of tiling involved. There might also be some light gardening. No experience needed, just a willingness to help out and learn as you go!

You'll have a nice private bedroom with a desk and a wardrobe, plus access to the garden. You'll also have access to a bathroom, kitchen, and living room — everything you need, though no AC yet! We'll cook your meals together using fresh, local fruits and vegetables.

    What else ...

On your days off, you'll have plenty to explore! Avignon's historic center (with the famous Palace of the Popes and the medieval bridge) is just a short trip away, and the surrounding Provence region is full of charming villages, vineyards, and great hiking trails. Lavender fields, the Luberon, and the Alpilles are all within reach for a day trip. We're happy to share tips and recommendations based on your interests. Public transport and bike rental are available nearby if you'd like to explore independently, and we're also happy to help you get around when we can.

    Nounours

Nounours means teddy bear and he lives up to his name perfectly. He’s a slightly clumsy gentle cat who comes looking for cuddles from time to time but sleeps most of the time. He doesn’t hesitate to meow when he wants food!
