    Description

    Hey!

NEW SEASON, NEW EXPERIENCES! NEW WORKAWAYERS!

We are OPEN! And our lovely city The Hague is open again too - so we are ready for you to come and help us!!

Are you friendly, fun but also not afraid to get your hands dirty? Does helping out in a cozy Hostel in the city centre of The Hague, with a very welcoming atmosphere, sound exciting? Can you commit to staying with us and helping out for one month? If YES, then read on!

(Note: the dates listed are the dates that we would like you to arrive at our hostel. But we are always interested in hearing from you, so please get in touch with the date that you are interested in, as well as how long you would be willing to help us out. Exact dates of departure can be narrowed down through the follow up communication.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from couples, or groups of friends. EU citizens only

    ABOUT THE HOSTEL:

We are a cozy hostel in the Grote Markt, at The Hague historical city centre. The hostel is located in a protected monumental building, which is more than 300 years old. We are right above a game store called Gamestate.

If you decide to come work with us, you will be sharing a room with your fellow helpers. There is a kitchen in the hostel that you can use for lunch and dinner, as well as free WIFI throughout. Unfortunately we do not have a washing machine, but there is a laundromat nearby, as well as a supermarket. (Not to mention a pretty large market which is open 4 days a week and, of course, we are in the city centre, so you have a lot of cheap restaurants and cafes close-by!)

    ABOUT THE HELP:

Hostel tasks consist mostly of cleaning shifts, from 11-15:00. You will help one shift a day that will last for a maximum of 4 hours.

We may also ask you to help out downstairs, with the promotion for upcoming events, the planning and organizing of new events and activities, or to unleash your creative instinct (we love new ideas!)

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We expect our workers to work hard, fulfill their tasks to a high standard and to take responsibility for themselves and their work. We want people who can help us improve our hostel where possible and that have a positive and flexible mindset. Hostel life can be a little hectic at times and we might ask you to help out here and there outside of the designated shifts.

One of the most important aspects of a Hostel helper is to be social, so we expect you to participate in the activities we plan and socialize with guests and anyone else! This is fun, don't worry ;) You will be the face of our hostel while you're working here, so being friendly, fun and welcoming is important.

Does it sound like you would be a good fit for our hostel? Then please send us an email, response, or application with the following details:

    - your email address
    - a little about yourself, and how you can contribute (hobbies/interest/skill set - and relevant work experience);
    - your age and country of origin
    - the date on which you would like to arrive (or if you are flexible)
    - ensure you have a couple of pictures available on your profile.

If your application does not contain the above mentioned information we won't be able to respond to your request sadly.

To be clear we are interested in pro-active, happy and fun-loving people! We receive a lot of request for workawayer positions, so unfortunately we cannot sometimes reply to all of your messages, sorry about that!

Thanks for taking the time to read up about us, and hopefully we hear from you soon,

We love what we do! We can assure a very pleasant work environment, you will meet and make friends from all over the world (also locals) and learn more about their food and customs. We are located in a special area, The Grote Markt is a former market square surrounded by bars and clubs. Throughout the year there are lots of activities taking place in the middle of the square. The Grote Markt is the epicentre of The Hague's popular music scene. The area surrounding the historic market place is known as 'Popdistrict' where local bars and clubs work together with the nearby pop venue Paard van Troje to programme live music throughout the year.

The hostel is located right in the city-center of The Hague which is one of the four biggest cities in Holland, so there's quite a bit to do and see. Also, we're pretty conveniently located between Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. And there's the beach.
