Where You Will Stay :)
We have a guesthouse with five bedrooms to accommodate couples, families, and solo volunteers. Although we live in a peaceful village we have taking the conscious effort of securing the entire house with burglar bars. Implemented on every window and door so you can assure your safety and security.
Currently the guest house has a fully operational plumbing system with toilets, showers, sinks and hot water. There is also be electricity available with outlets and lighting throughout the house.
Bathing can be done by use of the shower to wash one's body. We also have an outdoor toilet area, regularly disinfected. Regardless of the guest house being finished, we have water delivered to the house in jerrycans everyday.
What You Will Be Eating :)
Everyday three meals will be provided, breakfast before going to work, lunch at 12 pm and dinner after work. Our diet consists of many different local meals. The property you will be staying and working on has a large amount of fruit trees, such as mangos and matooke. We also often eat other fruits purchased locally. There is a large poultry farm on the property that supplies us with eggs. Besides these we often eat chapati, beans, rice, beef, chicken and so on. Though meat and animal products does make up a large amount of the local diet we would be able to accommodate vegans and vegetarians if requested. Volunteers are also welcome to contribute to any other dietary specifications if they wish. Visitors are free to cook and prepare meals to their standard choices and can be given assistance if requested.
Internet Access :)
Internet is accessible through the purchase of a sim card and portable router. the router costs $30 and 40gb of data costs $30 as well. We use a portable router as well, so if you would like to share with us that is also an option. What else ...
