Description
We’d love to host you! Come and stay with our family of 5 on our lifestyle block in the leafy suburb of Te Horo, on the Kapiti Coast. We moved back to NZ in 2018 after working and travelling extensively for 19 years abroad. This gave us a love of different cultures and we're excited to host visitors in our country, and our home.
Our house is active :) there's always plenty going on thanks to our 11yo (Isaac), 9yo (Yulisa) and 6yo (Ella), plus Milo our dog, Sugar our cat, 2 cows, 2 sheep and 4chickens!
We got involved with cultural exchange because a) there are ALWAYS things we need help with here :) but more importantly b) we love to host people from abroad who are like-minded and who share their experiences of traveling the world with our family. We are thrilled to be able to open our home and our family to travelers, many of whom are from countries we have spent time in.
See you soon!! :)Types of help and learning opportunities

We're a fun, active, loving family living in a rural setting in NZ, we have a lot to share about ourselves, our lives, and that of our family. We've traveled a fair bit of the world, we love different cultures and it's something we will never stop exploring. We love where we live and we love to share it with others

Help
There is work to do around the property helping with things like gardening, clearing the section of unwanted trees, picking fruit and lots of other things which go into keeping a property of this nature. It is largely manual labour and there is no need for childcare support.
In exchange for 25 hours work a week you receive accommodation in our beautiful home (a large room in a separate guest wing that can either be setup as a King bed or two singles, complete with it's own ensuite). Food is provided for you to self cater breakfast, lunch is often left overs or Ronel will whip something up like home made soup or a quich. Dinner is prepared for you Monday to Thursday. Friday through Sunday we provide the food and you can prepare your own as we are often out and about with the kids and we find people are keen to get into Wellington and see the city. Feel free to take a packed lunch. We have wi-fi available throughout the house.
Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions - many thanks for reading. Hope to see you soon!!!
Cheers Ben, Ronel, Zac, Isa, Ella, Milo and Sugar :)Languages spoken

Both of them were really interested in our trip and invested in our stay ; we talked a lot about New Zealand and the great places to visit, work, food, activities, everything you can think of. They helped us a lot to find and visit what's around their home, and we spend a lot of… read more
