Description
The village is one hour Northern from Berlin, next to a beautiful lake and in the middle of biosphere reserve. If you enjoy alternative living, natural environment, gaining skills in carpentry, medicine and edible plants and much more you +
you are reliable, conscientious, honest and flexible you are welcomed to stay with us :-) The best would be that you have already some experience in cooking, maybe even also in carpentry or other craftwork. The landscape and place is inviting you to canoeing, taking long walks with deep breaths, improve gardening skills/knowledge or in general botanical wisdom, spend time with beautiful sheeps (honestly, they are stunning with their twisted horns), chicken, dogs, cats, geese, birds,...
The vision/goal for the community-living is: establishing now more space for friends/workawayer, built more tiny houses, an Art area to sell craftwork, improve summer kitchen and common spaces and in general making the whole area clear and well arranged. Here you can really experience a "off-grid" life.. collecting wood for heating house and the bathtub, some wildplants to eat or mushrooms in the autumn season,....
We are:
Gisbert (the father of Lewe, Jorin and Gustav) is wood designer and has always a lot of skills and wisdom to share. He is very open-minded and always loves to share a good talk. Over the last 20 years he has made a picturesque place full of natural beauty out of a pig barns with his wife, who unfortunately passed away 3 years ago. He used to train carpenters as Interns for some times and had bunch of wood projects in the past, which gained great reputation. Now he will building honeycomb-structured tiny houses & wants to dedicate more time to sailing.
Jorin (15) just said he is interested in volleyball and video games:-) As I know him he is so kind-hearted to all of animals on the cottage and cooks very well, always up to try out new recipes and has an open ear at anytime.
Gustav (16) spent a lot of time with screws at his motorcycle- definitely almost a full time hobby beside school ;) On weekend and after school the boys meet friends and help their father a lot- so they gained some skills like operating a crane, building furniture and lot more.
