Description
Hi! We are Karen and Pablo, we are glad to share our project with you. We are located in San Marcos Sierras, Córdoba, Argentina. An amazing 12 acres place up in the hill with severeal slopes, hundreads of Quebrachos and native forest with beautiful views. Our dream is to develop a permacultural farm and village, We look forward to enriching the soil, re-planting native and fruit trees, and managing the rain water to keep it at land. Wish to make that place a magnificent landscape to live and work in community. We own a beautiful land we want to share.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are native spanish speakers, with some skills in english language. We are from Buenos Aires, so this project is the way we are changing city-living for a rural lifestyle. We are experienced travellers and permaculture fanatics. Our place is very energetic, located in front of Capilla del Monte, the Uritorco mountain in front of us. The highs, the views, peace, you can feel magic and mysticism in some areas of the land. There are diverse landscape situations inside the place, for meditation, trekking, or simply look in silence at bright starry skyes. The town is 2 km away, the river flows between mountains and it is very popular for tourism. The town has a mixture of criollo, hippie, and world people. Very nice and festive community, with lot of knowledge of region and cultural practices.
Help
We are developing the place from scratch. At this moment (November 2019) we are building a small stone house that works as a basic point for resting, keeping tools and basic living. This is the first step, a roof at the top of our heads. We are looking for help with diverse skills about permaculture for project planification and designing. The place offers a particular shape because the highs and lows of the terrain, it is a very private and quiet place with a great potential. There is no electric light or services yet. We are digging a big hole in stone (+7 meters at now) to reach the natural water and defining where to make ponds. The place is ideal for solar and wind energy. We are open to host other projects too, we can provide part of the land for educational purpose or developing for sustainable system . There are a lot of things to do...!

Accommodation
We sleep in tends, doing as campers, but with a near house to do better sometimes... this is while we finishing the first stone house building. We have a dome that is used as a multi-purpose center camp.
Meanwhile there is a lot of things to plan and put hands-on with volunteers. We will share the planning and learning process as well creating a beautiful place for everyone..
We will feed the Workawayers with a healthy and tasty daily meals, and share with them free time and diverse activities.
We can provide a tend where to sleep, but please bring you own sleeping bag.
What else ...
For sure you heard about the richness of Cordoba province. It is a perfect place to find lot of projects for natural construction, views, weather, its own flora and fauna and a lot of people travelling around. You will be staying in the middle of the Argentina, with lot of transportation to different places in the province and abroad. Volunteers will find themselves into an inmersive experience with local people with a vast universe of experiences and knowledges and have the chance to put hands-on in land and become part of a family, and maybe find their place in this world.
