Description
Hi! We are Karen and Pablo, we are glad to share our project with you.
We would like to invite you to be part of something that, in a way, has been calling us for a long time.We are located in San Marcos Sierras, Córdoba, Argentina.
An amazing 12 acres place up in the hill with severeal slopes, hundreads of Quebrachos and native forest with beautiful views. Our dream is to develop a permacultural farm and village.
We look forward to enriching the soil, re-planting native and fruit trees, and managing the rain water to keep it at land.
Wish to make that place a magnificent landscape to live and work in community. We own a beautiful land we want to share.
The land appeared at a very specific moment in our lives. San Marcos Sierras, the native forest, the hills, the silence… it wasn’t random. It was an encounter.
Since then, we’ve returned many times. We’ve walked it, stayed there for periods of time, observed it through different seasons, worked on it, and gradually prepared it to begin opening it up.
Now we feel that this process has reached a point where it needs to move forward — not just as an idea, but as a decision.
Our intention is to intervene as little as possible, but as much as needed to make it habitable. To slowly guide the land towards an off-grid way of life: simpler, more conscious, and more connected to what surrounds us.
And above all, to do it together with others.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are native spanish speakers, with some skills in english language. We are from Buenos Aires, so this project is the way we are changing city-living for a rural lifestyle. We are experienced travellers and permaculture fanatics. Our place is very energetic, located in front of Capilla del Monte, the Uritorco mountain in front of us. The highs, the views, peace, you can feel magic and mysticism in some areas of the land. There are diverse landscape situations inside the place, for meditation, trekking, or simply look in silence at bright starry skyes. The town is 2 km away, the river flows between mountains and it is very popular for tourism. The town has a mixture of criollo, hippie, and world people. Very nice and festive community, with lot of knowledge of region and cultural practices.

Help
People who come here become part of the real process of the place.
There is no fixed program, but rather a shared dynamic of work and learning.
Tasks may include:
Simple construction (stone, wood, basic structures)
Working with the land (clearing, preparation, minimal intervention)
Organizing common spaces
Supporting cooking and daily shared life
Participating in the development of basic systems (water, shade, spaces, etc.)
There are also moments for observation, learning, and exchange.
Beyond the specific task, what matters most is attitude: presence, commitment, and a willingness to be involved in what the place needs
All of this has a reason.
The land appeared at a certain moment, and over time that encounter started to make sense.
We are not living there permanently yet, but the connection has never been lost. On the contrary, it has grown stronger.
Now we feel that the call returns, but in a different way — clearer, more grounded.
The land is already here.
Now it’s time to inhabit it.
To open the space, to share it, and to allow it to develop with those who feel that this kind of experience makes sense.
Because in the end, no one takes the land with them.
But we do take the experience of having been part of something alive.

Accommodation
Life here is simple.
Currently, we offer:
Camping spaces
A dome used as a common gathering space
Basic shelters under development
Shared meals (simple and homemade)
The rhythm tends to be natural:
Mornings for work
Afternoons more open and flexible
Evenings for sharing, resting, or conversation
We recommend bringing a sleeping bag and being comfortable with a simple lifestyle.
What else ...
We approach the project from a permaculture perspective.
We are trained in permaculture and environmental management, and this guides the way we think and act.
We observe the land, understand its dynamics, protect native ecosystems, and aim to regenerate where needed.
A big part of the process is learning how to read the place:
how water moves, how the soil responds, how different elements interact, and what kind of interventions make sense.
We also build on systems and experiences developed by others, adapting them to this specific context, testing them in practice, and learning through doing.
This space is, in itself, a place for learning.
In the future, we would like to develop enough infrastructure to open it as an educational space — a permaculture school where knowledge can be shared in a more structured way.
