  Description

  Hi, we're Furio and Alessandra—Furio is retired, and I'm a journalist who works mostly from home—and we have two dogs and our cat. Of the two dogs, one is elderly, and the other recently arrived from a shelter and currently requires some care, as she's not very obedient yet. The cat is also quite elderly! We have two grown children who don't live with us. We live in Turin, at the foot of the Piedmont mountains, in a detached house with a large garden and surrounded by a hilly natural park, 20 minutes from the city center.
  Furio is a geologist, and I, outside of my work, am passionate about gardening and botany; we speak fluent Italian and French, and we also know a little English.
  
  Ciao, siamo Furio e Alessandra – Furio è pensionato e io sono giornalista e lavoro quasi sempre a casa – e con noi vivono due cani e la nostra gatta.Dei due cani, una è anziana e l'altra è arrivata da poco da un rifugio e al momento richiede un poco di comptenza nella gestione, perché non è ancora molto ubbidiente. Anche la gatta è vecchietta! Abbiamo due figli grandi che non vivono con noi. Abitiamo a Torino, ai piedi delle montagne piemontesi, in un casa indipendente con un grande giardino e immersa in un parco naturale collinare, a 20 minuti dal centro città.
  Furio è geologo e io sono, al di là del mio lavoro, appassionata di giardinaggio e botanica; parliamo fluentemente oltre all’italiano il francese, e conosciamo anche un po di inglese.

  Help

  We're generally looking for someone who can take over the house, pets, and garden when we're away. This means appreciating solitude (or rather, having a home all to yourself), being able to manage daily routines independently (always with a period of cohabitation to familiarize yourself with the tasks, the city, and our pets), having a sense of responsibility, and good organizational skills.
  Our dog and cat are older, sociable, and don't require complicated care, but they can't be left alone all day. Our new dog is very sweet, but he just arrived from a shelter, and some caregiving skills are required. Of course, going out is fine, even in the evenings, but working hours must be adjusted to their needs. During these periods of absence, it's necessary to be present and work even on weekends and holidays, but we'll make arrangements to give workawayers a chance to make up for lost time (for example, we can extend the stay without requiring any additional services).
  When it comes to the garden and plants, the most important thing is watering: it seems like an easy task, but some knowledge about plants and their needs is appreciated.

  In genere cerchiamo qualcuno che possa sostituirci nella gestione della casa, degli animali e del giardino quando dobbiamo assentarci. Vuol dire saper apprezzare la solitudine ( o meglio, il fatto di avere una casa tutta per sé), saper gestire in autonomia la routine quotidiana (sempre con un periodo di coabitazione per prendere familiarità con i compiti, con la città e i nostri animali), avere senso di responsabilità e buone capacità organizzative.
  Un nostro cane e il nostro gatto sono anziani, socievoli e non necessitano di cure complicate, ma non possono essere lasciati soli tutto il giorno. Il nuovo cane è molto dolce ma è appena arrivato da un rifugio ed è necessaria un poco di competenza nella gestione. Naturalmente non c'è problema a uscire, anche di sera, ma l'orario di lavoro va modulato sulle loro necessità. In questi periodi di assenza occorre essere presenti e lavorare anche nei week end e nei giorni festivi, ma ci accorderemo per dare modo ai workawayers di recuperare il tempo impiegato (per esempio possiamo prolungare l'ospitalità senza richiedere nessuna prestazione).
  Pe quanto riguarda il giardino e le piante, la cosa più importante è innaffiare: sembra un compito facile , ma qualche conoscenza sulla piante e sulle loro necessità è gradita.

  Accommodation

  We live in Turin, at the foot of the Piedmontese mountains, in an independent house with a large garden and immersed in a hilly natural park, 20 minutes from the city centre. Turin is a city of about 800,000 inhabitants, at the foot of the Alps, where you can find all the study and social activities - Universities, museums, courses, sports facilities, shopping centres, places to listen to music, neighborhoods for those who love life nightlife and wine bars where you can taste the prestigious wines of our area – but ours is a quiet country house, which allows for many walks in the countryside. It is well served by public transport, reachable in 10 minutes on foot, even in the evening, and we still provide a bicycle. The house is on three floors, one room is intended for the guest. The two bathrooms, on the other hand, are shared because the layout of the rooms does not allow you to reserve one entirely. We are not vegetarians but we have a vegetable garden, which will please those who love organic and 0 km vegetables, more difficult for us to organize meals for a vegan.
  
  
  Abitiamo a Torino, ai piedi delle montagne piemontesi, in una casa indipendente con un grande giardino e immersa in un parco naturale collinare, a 20 minuti dal centro città.
  Torino è una città di circa 800.000 abitanti, ai piedi delle Alpi, in cui si possono trovare tutte le attività di studio e mondane - Università, musei, corsi, impianti sportivi, centri commerciali, locali dove ascoltare musica, quartieri per chi ama la vita notturna ed enoteche dove assaggiare i prestigiosi vini del nostro territorio – ma la nostra è una casa di campagna tranquilla, che consente molte passeggiate nel verde. É ben servita dai mezzi pubblici, raggiungibili in 10 minuti a piedi, anche in orario serale, e noi mettiamo comunque a disposizione una bicicletta.
  La casa è su tre piani, una stanza è destinata all’ospite. I due bagni invece sono in condivisione perché la disposizione delle stanze non consente di riservarne del tutto uno.
  Non siamo vegetariani ma abbiamo un orto, che farà piacere a chi ama le verdure biologiche e a km 0, più difficile per noi organizzare i pasti di un vegano.

  In addition to city activities, it is not difficult to reach lakes and alpine resorts by public transport from Turin. We have a house in the mountains from where beautiful trips are possible.
  
  
  Oltre alla attività cittadine, da Torino non è difficile raggiungere con i mezzi pubblici laghi e località alpine. Abbiamo una casa in montagna da dove sono possibili bellissime gite.

  Una gatta un poco diffidente ma ben integrata nella vita familiare, sana, non crea problemi.

  E' un cane meticcio di grossa taglia con tratti da cane da guardania. E' appena arrivata da un rifugio ed è in fase di addestramento perché non conosce i comnadi base e ha una certa tendenza a scappare. Richiede un poco di competenza nella gestione. E' molto dolce e ben socializzata ocn gli altri animali, sia cani che gatti.

  Un cane da gregge molto intelligente, ubbidiente, un poco diffidente verso gli altri cani ma non litigiosa. é anziana e prende ogni gioro diverse medicine
