We also have an on going project of rebuilding the cortijo ( house) using traditional materials. The farm is part of the off grid unintentional community of Cigarrones nestling in a valley between the Sierra Nevada and the Contraviesa mountains near Orgiva, south of Granada Spain

What else ...
We are part of a community and therefore plenty of opportunity to socialize with other people. The nearest town orgiva is 4km away. There are always people coming and going so its fairly easy to get a lift. The do it yourself culture thrives here and there is a lively alternative scene of theatre and music. The city of Granada is an hour and a half way by bus and there are plenty of good walks for those who like to use their feet.
