    Description

I'm Julien, 28 yo from Belgium, I moved to Asturias last year in poursuit of a more simple and autonomous life.
My place needs lots of work and would be great to have some help !

The long-term project is making a cozy and small rural/touristic place that might work in autonomy with nature, animals and humans, as much self sufficient as possible.

I would be interested by volunteers with previous workaway experience around mountains

Living in the mountains means lots of fisical efforts, up and down, moving material and organizing areas.
It's an old house in a process of renovation so you are not expecting to be in a modern place with all the city comfort.
The bathroom has been renovated, water is cold but can be heated up by a firewood stove, I do plan to use a solar panels system in the future.
I am open to receive new ideas that you are willing to share to make this place a nice place to live.

The house is OFF grid, electricity is collected by solar panels and stacked in batteries, it means that the amount of power available can fluctuate, a nice sunny day is usually a good opportunity to work with tools/machines that consume a lot of watts.

    Daily routine :
We usually have breakfast after 8 and starting working at 9.
It fluctuate due to climate condition but we usually work until 12/1pm, have lunch and do a little bit more of work if needed in the afternoon.
Afternoons are free, if its chilly/rainy/humid we usually make a fire to warm up the house and have a hot shower.

Out of a week of 7 days you have 2 days off, if you stay less usually 1 day off out of them.

As my place is quite isolated, I do prefer host volunteers for a week or less. (4-5 days mini)
If you do have your own car/van it does help for a longer stay, it will also depend of the amount of help needed in this period of time.

My house is located in north of Spain, Asturias, 1h from Oviedo the capital.
There is buses that goes from the airport of Asturias to Oviedo.

If you're interested don't hesitate to write me! See you soon
