Description
Hi, we have a 40 acre lifestyle organic farm / orchard 35 km from Christchurch international airport in Rangiora , New Zealand. Separate 2 bedroom accommodation for guests. We have sheep,goats,duck and chickens and lots of fruit tree in a sustainable environment. We are retired and this is a lifestyle farm, for learning about sustainable living, there is no paid employment.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are Kiwis and are retired Science educators who have worked and travelled to 60 different countries. We like to share our experiences with travellers and learn about their travels and home culture. We live sustainably and can provide the opportunity for others to experience this lifestyle.We can provide a New Zealand farming cultural experience. We provide hands on practical farming experiences with scientific explanations.

Help
This farm and accommodation is suitable for 2 or 3 people, we prefer friends or couples to help and learn about farm work, work with sheep goats, chickens and ducks, gardening, food preservation, orchard and tree care, general maintenance work like fencing, irrigation, painting, repairing etc. This is now a lifestyle property as we are retired. You will work and learn with us. You will get dirty, it's a farm! Work clothes and boots are provided for your use.

Accommodation
Travellers have a separate cottage. It has 2 bedroom, queen, double and single beds, a kitchen, a lounge, bathroom and washing machine. You cook for yourself. Plenty of food is provided. The accommodation is clean ,safe and secure.
All food and plenty of it, is provided and the accommodation has a kitchen. You will to cook you own meals. -

We are 8 km from Rangiora town which has everything, shops, pool, bars restaurant etc and bus stops, We can collect you from there if needed.
You can use our bicycles to explore the area. We are 40 km from Christchurch CBD, 35 km from Christchurch international airport. 20 km to beaches and 100 km from the ski fields. -
