Description
- July
Hello, I'm Claire and I live with my son in a small village in the Matarranya region in Spain. I'm currently converting an 18th century olive mill into a home and garden. The area is known as the Spanish Tuscany because it's full of olive and almond trees and very beautiful with lots of small towns and stunning landscapes to explore. I also have a dog and a kitten.
I'm away quite often for a week or more and I would love people to house sit for my animals. You can stay longer if you like as there's always things to do at the mill or around the house.
It would most suit people with their own car because the village is small and the public transport not that good!
Currently I'm looking for someone to housesit for the first two weeks of July.Types of help and learning opportunities
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Animal Care
Babysitting and creative play
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
General Maintenance
House sitting
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
The area here has a lot of history and you can learn about the culture and food of the area. I'm English so you can practise your English language with me if that's useful!!
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
Currently I would love someone to housesit for my animals, but you can stay longer if you want to help out with things at the mill too.

I am an American who departed the States for England last autumn, where I subsequently completed multiple house/pet-sits for hosts there (including one repeat visit), and I subsequently did a 1.5 week sit in Seville – for a total of 8 sits spanning just over 4 months collectively (end of 2024/early 2025,… read more
