Description
We are a family of 5 with children from 14-25, all very happy and friendly. Our home is a substantial 19th century grade two listed heritage property set in beautiful grounds just 2 km from the Jurassic Dorset coast, popular with tourists from across the globe.
We are situated on the edge of Lyme Regis, famous for fossil discoveries, its spectacular coastline and with easy access to the South West Coast Path, ideal for walkers. The area is perfect for road cycling and mountain biking, hiking and kayaking. In the past, we even found ourselves swimming with dolphins in the bay!
We offer a bedroom, breakfast and evening meal.
We would like to host respectful and considerate guests who are prepared to help reliably, honestly and skillfully. We are looking for an au pair who offers good all-round skills, too. The reason we need an au pair is our lives are very busy and organising our children takes up a lot of our time. Our boys are now international grade gymnasts, and this means a lot of training, travel and competitions. Things like helping to keep their rooms tidy, help with laundry and some cooking and cleaning, mean we can focus on other tasks.
I am an experienced language teacher, which may be of interest to any prospective international visitors. However, in term time, I am usually at work in the day, but home (and sociable!) from 4pm. I would like a French or German native speaker because sometimes I like to check my French and German are up to standard.
We look forward to meeting you and hope you will have a wonderful time at our home.
Note that where we live is beautiful, safe and friendly, but it is also quiet and not really a young, lively and dynamic place. Make sure this is the right place for you by doing your homework!Types of help and learning opportunities

One of the rooms in the house. You won’t need to share with anyone.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Breakfast is generally cereal/toast and dinner is home made. We don’t generally subscribe to ready made junk meals. What else ...
There’s a bus stop within a few minutes walk or you can easily walk into Lyme Regis. The train station in Axminster provides easy links to cities such as Exeter and London. I can normally collect from the railway station.
We have 2 Russian Blue cats who live indoors. If you are allergic to cats most people are ok with this breed.A little more information

I'll try to keep it short as his profile already has a lot of very good comments. And they are all true!
I wanted to come for a long period to improve my English but I said that initially I would only commit to 1 month. I wanted to be sure that I could stay for a long period with this family before committing myself.
