  My name is Francisco. I am architect originally from Porto and I am doing the rehabilitation of a building from 1830 in historical center of Porto, 5 minutes walking from the main central area and located in the most genuine and beautiful neighborhood, the Guindais Stairs (Escadas dos Guindais)
  I am doing also the same kind of work in a countryside house 20kms north of Porto where I am giving less efforts and energie. My life is doing projects but also work with my hands at the construction and rebuild the places I find and where we live. I not the typical architect of being in a studio working all day in front of a computer.…
  We are a family of four. Me, Ana, Tomé(5) and Hydra a female bouvier bernois very friendly.

  The travellers will have contact with professionals of construction and will learn the old and traditional methods of construction. The projects are located in Central Porto, near Luis I bridge and the farmhouse is at Vilar do Pinheiro (VP), 20kms from Porto and having a metro station at 10/15 minutes walking. The Metro trip between VP and Central Porto (Trindade Station) takes 30 minutes.

  Help

  I am architect and I am looking for someone interested in helping in all areas of a rehabilitation of an historical building.
  We are a family of 4. Me (Francisco), Ana and Tomé with 5Yrs old. We also have a friendly female bouvier bernois dog called Hydra
  
  Learning traditional technics as Carpentry, general construction, painting and rebuild as support to local tradespeople who will be hired for bigger projects. Workawayers will be part of the role learning and be active part of the process within their skills.
  
  Gardening and general maintenance of the house is also an activity for who's interested in collaborate in this project.

  PROJECT 1: Porto - Its a building’s located in a historical place in the city. The experience will be very genuine. During the time off helpers can have a great experience to have contact with locals, neighbors. The building is fully served by transports so helpers can travel in the city, can have a bike and can travel around the country in their free time. (BOOKED UNTIL JAN25)
  
  PROJECT 2: Vilar do Pinheiro: Its a kind of a countryside house needing a lot of care. Vilar do Pinheiro is a small village, 20`` from Porto by car or 30`` by metro. The house is 10`` walking distance to metro station and 3`` walking from the village center where is possible to find almost everything..
  The house DO NOT have the basic condition to live but the project is exactly that. Provide condition to live, renovating the house, starting from doing a bathroom and a kitchen. The guests can stay in a tent in meantime or can adapt a space for sleeping with good condition. The house have water and electricity.
  I Ideally look for this project couples or more than one person. Also looking for someone who can stay minimum one month and maximum there’s no limit, since both parts are happy…
