Description
Hello! I live in Nerga, a rural area of the town of Cangas do Morrazo, Pontevedra, Galicia. My house is located very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in the region, with dunes covered in pine forests and trails for nature walks. It's a beach where surfing, kitesurfing, and various water sports are practiced year-round. The house is surrounded by nature and has views of the Cíes Islands. It's a very peaceful and highly-rated area.
We are a single-parent family: an 8-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy. We love outdoor activities and the simple life. We are all very creative and have diverse interests.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a very active family who enjoy participating in cultural activities, festivals, and nature events. We regularly attend theater, cinema, concerts, exhibitions, museums, etc., and we would love to share these experiences with visitors so they can learn more about our traditions, culture, and other towns in the area. We also enjoy interacting with people of different ages and backgrounds, which further enriches the cultural and linguistic exchange. At home, we speak Galician and Spanish, and we can also communicate in French. We understand a little English, although we would really like to improve it.
We love the sea and everything related to it: watching, fishing, water sports, etc.
We are also a family that loves learning about other cultures and exchanging interests by living with different people. We particularly enjoy crafting: ceramics, painting, woodworking, etc.

Help
Due to my work and family situation, it's sometimes very difficult to balance everything and maintain an active lifestyle in nature. Therefore, I would appreciate help with household chores (cleaning, maintenance, weekly shopping, etc.) and spending time with the children (both at home and during activities like walks). This assistance can support the family, either when I'm present or during times when I have to work and would otherwise have to do these things alone. I would need help for 3-5 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Accommodation
Our house is spacious and has an outdoor area. When it's hot, we usually eat outside. We have a shady area and a sunny one, as well as a small vegetable garden, and we set up a swimming pool during the hottest months. I offer a spacious and private place to sleep. The room would have a single bed, an armchair, a wardrobe, a bookshelf, and a table with chairs. It has two windows, so the space is very sunny. The kitchen is for shared use, and the bathroom would be shared with the children. If this is a problem, we can find another solution.
Regarding meals, we eat a very varied diet, avoiding processed foods. We usually eat lots of vegetables and fruits accompanied by meat, fish, or legumes. Our idea is to eat all together and teach our traditional recipes. We have breakfast and dinner at home every day and lunch three days a week at home, two days at school, and on weekends it may vary depending on the activities we do.
The volunteer will receive three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They can participate in our nature outings and activities whenever they like. We would be available in the evenings and on weekends.
We offer a single tent in case we go on an overnight trip.

What else ...
Near our house, there is a cultural association and a municipal library where they offer various activities: traditional music, dance, gymnastics, knitting, etc. In the immediate vicinity, there is a gym, bank, medical center, Catholic church, bars, pharmacy, supermarket, and tobacconist. Having your own vehicle is recommended for greater independence and to be able to help with the children's activities. There is a public bus that connects to the town center twice a day. Bicycles can be provided for short trips. All kinds of services are available in the town center.
We are a home where respect for diversity and equality are fundamental, so we would like to welcome people who share these values.
