Description
Hi there beautiful community,
I have been a Workawayer for a couple of years now and I love it.
This summer I'd like to become a host as well. I am a single (old ;)) woman and live in a beautiful place just outside of Brussels (Belgium - Europe).
You could read something about me on my Workawayer profile. I can tell you I am quite active, full of energy and enthusiasm. And above all a solo traveller who loves meeting people, the world, adventure, discoveries, food, music and nature.
I appreciate things and agreements to be clear to make it comfortable for everyone.
Please don't apply if you are not an experienced manual worker and please read the requirements carefully.
I would like help to repair small SHED roofs (not more than 2 meters high), damaged walls, move things, tidy up and clean a workplace full of too many treasures that could be sold or offered on social media for instance.
I need a reliable person who can do this while respecting my standards, the place (keep it clean, please), the lovely cat and me.
So you need to be an experienced easy going and respectful manual helper.
Beersel is green and quiet though just 30 minutes away from Brussels city by bicycle (I have one for you if you like).
There is also public transportation.
If you like a multicultural city Brussels is a wonderful capital and I would be more than happy to show you around.
If you want to practice French or English or Dutch (or many other languages) come here!
If you want a good beer and good food not to mention the chocolate... OK super cliché but ...
You would enjoy your own space to stay and have meals with me if you want. I have to tell you there is no hot water and I love the sounds ....of birds and nature.
I am eager to welcome you the way I have been welcomed in so many places.
See you soon!Types of help and learning opportunities
Gardening
DIY and building projects
General Maintenance
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We have great breweries and a medieval castle just around the corner.

You would enjoy your own space to stay (private bedroom and bathroom) and have 3 meals a day on workdays. I have to tell you there is NO HOT WATER and I love the sounds ....of birds and nature.
I mainly live outside in the garden and you may enjoy this with me.
I try not to waste energies as a small contribution to relieve our planet. I use rain water, save gas and electricity etc... I do appreciate people alike. What else ...
Lots to do, to see, to visit and above all so many people to meet. But you can also enjoy the garden and read a book or listen to your favourite music (bring your headset, pls), or sip a beer, or daydream, or dance....
