We are a family of four: my husband (Kurt) and I, and our two daughters (16y & 18y).
And -of course- our dog: Max.
We live near Mechelen. And close to Leuven, Brussels and Antwerp. All beautiful Belgian cities.
Since our oldest is travelling with Workaway herself, we have a bedroom available.
And a place at our dining-table. ;-)
Therefore we would love to host you.
We are looking forward to hear stories about your travels and life in your country.
And share about our travel & life experciences.
In return we would appreciate some work in the garden and/or some cooking.
Creating/ Cooking family meals
You can enjoy the rich history and the contemporary beauty of several Belgian cities, since they are close by and available by train, bus and even by bike.
We live also near the Dijle. If you like walking or biking there is plenty of beautiful opportinuty.
Besides that Kurt and I have rather unusual professional paths. If you are intrested in philantrophy, social entrepreneurship, gender and/or teamdynamics: please don't hesitate! We love to have in depth conversations about that. If you want, of course. ;-)
The work in the garden consists of (depending on the season): weeding, mowing, put out nettles, planting bulbs, picking nuts and apples, ...
The home cooking is preferably vegan. Lots of vegtables, salads, soups and spreads.

We live in a house where all rooms are on the groundfloor. It stands alone.
It is in a rather small street, in a small village. Near a train station and a bus-stop.
Sleeping will be in the room of the daughter. Bathroom is used in common.
As the other rooms are.
Due to Covid, we work a lot from home. So most of the time somebody will be around.
As said we try to eat as much vegan as possible.
Limited internet access
We have pets
We are smokers
Can host families
We have good internet connection. Due to Covid we all work/study from home. But this might not be a problem. In your room there is space to work and also in the dining room.
A nice dog is more than welcome. Other pets are more difficult, since we also have a dog.
