  Description

  I will be in Mexico, on the west coast - (in La Paz, Baja California South) - from Oct 2023 till April 2024.
  
  I'm looking for someone to help me with general house chores and the care of an adorable one year old baby (i.e. frequent babysitting). You'll be working with me (the grandma), as a team. Sometimes we clean & cook at my house (I should say our house, as that's where you will have your room). Sometimes we help out at my daughter's house, babysitting and light chores, as needed. In exchange, you will work with a friendly and active family, in nice, clean, safe homes. They are a young couple (my daughter & her husband), with one baby, two very well behaved dogs and a very smart cat who thinks he's a dog! Food and accomodation are included. Good internet. No TV (best to be outside). Important: I am 100% plant-based vegan, so no animal products in my house. I eat very healthy. But they do eat meat & dairy at my daughter's house. So, nothing specific required really. Just a very good attitude and a desire to help out. Someone who has some initiative and doesn't need to be told what to do. Even better if you are somewhat good in the kitchen since my daughter is not! :-)

  A great opportunity to learn about Mexican culture. We speak both spanish and english around the house and with our friends. We can show you our beautiful town and beaches. You will also love discovering the surrounding areas. People are very laid back and friendly here. You'll make friends easily.

  You will have your own room, in my 2 bedroom home. But you'll be working with me at my daughter's home which is 2 blocks away from mine.

  Time off: The town is within walking distance. Many nice places to eat or have a coffee in town. Beaches close by. Gorgeous sunsets. Transport: bus and Uber are both very cheap, but you can practically walk anywhere. Possibility of lending you a bike but not quite sure yet.
