Description
We are a Hostel focused on offering the most warm and chill experience for anyone who wishes to meet new people while discovering the beautiful and magic nature of Puerto Escondido. We opened our doors back in 2015 and have been welcoming Humans from all walks of life ever since. Our human-based approach to hospitality makes our space a home away from home where people can connect with themselves and other interesting travelers and locals, by sharing quality moments together.
We have a local Property Leader, 1 local receptionist, and local cleaning and maintenance staff employed and they will be always able to answer every question you have.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
As a Guest Leader, you are in charge of making our guests have a great time at the hostel. You are a curious person who is confident with other humans, or has the desire to improve this skill. You are aware that helping at the hostel requires being reliable with your time and generous with your energy. Your fellow residents will become your good friends, and together you will explore new ideas, learn new skills and make friends for life. Every day is an opportunity for you to make new connections and discover new perspectives. As well as looking after guests, the hostel will be your canvas for 5 weeks. Perhaps you will realize a talent you are already aware of, or perhaps you will discover a talent you didn't know existed. Striving to be a better person than you were yesterday is essential.
To apply:
1. Answer the following questions in your introductory message
1. From which date would you be available to start the program?
2. How do you take care of yourself?
3. Working in a team can be frustrating. Do you agree? Why?
4. Do you consider yourself as someone who takes initiative? Tell us about a time you proved that.
5. What do you think makes the difference between a ”regular” place and an “unforgettable” one for a guest? What would you do to make it unforgettable?
6. What would you do if a guest asked you for local recommendations, but you still don’t know the city well? How would you make sure they still have a great experience?
7. Imagine a guest arrives upset because their room isn’t ready yet. You don’t have direct control over the cleaning staff. What would you do in that moment?
8. What value do you think you can bring to our space that another volunteer might not be able to?
9.How do you handle having to stay positive and friendly for hours, even when you’re having a bad day?
10. What does being “a good host” truly mean to you, beyond smiling and giving information?
2. Record a 1 minute video that explains why you are looking for this experience and how you can contribute with your unique personality. To upload it: if you have a Google email account, post in on Google Drive and paste the link to your video once you're done answering the questions above :)Help
