    Description

We are looking for individuals quick on their feet and willing to stay minimum of two weeks or longer. We run a small resort that accommodates 12 people. We need people to take care of housekeeping, preparation of food and cleaning the beach. No experience is required but having any will be a plus! There will be someone to show you how everything operates. Our motto is 'Back to Basics'. We like to keep things simple so you won't have any trouble getting familiar with the place. !

We are located on an island called Pulau Tuba, 10 minutes by boat from Langkawi Kuah jetty. We are operating a small beach resort with all chalets built on the beach. The beach is called Pasir Panjang and has a long white sand beach surrounded by beautiful palmtrees. The property is big, including an 800mtr long beach.
The flora and fauna are interesting to observe with fruit trees and the many different kind of birds. From the beach you can see the skyline of Langkawi and surrounding islands giving you a feeling of peace and relaxation. There are the eagles that come every day to collect their dinner from the sea in front of the beach.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us to clean the beach from plastic coming everyday from surrounding islands, help in the kitchen with preparing food for guests and doing the dishes. Another task would be to help cleaning the guesthouses and prepare them for guests. The working time per day is about 4-5 hour, very flexible and varies from day to day. You work 5 days a week (and have two day off) in exchange for accommodation and breakfast and dinner.
    .

We speak fluent English and Malay, we can tell you much about the history of Malaysia and the flora and fauna on Pasir Panjang. You can do a lot of trekking to discover Tuba island and the surroundings in your plentiful free time! Also Langkawi can be discovered. It is a beautiful island with rainforests and waterfalls.

We offer an open air sheltered dormitory with shower and toilets. All is open air so you can shower under the stars . Feel free to bring a hammock as we have many palms. You can also put a tent on the property.

The village of the Pulau Tuba Island can be reached within 15 minutes by walking through the jungle. There you find food stands, but the nearest shop to buy food and other stuff is on Langkawi. However a shared boat can be easily arranged (~10 MYR each way, 10 minutes) if you need anything.

The tap water is safe to drink here!
