With us you will experience life onboard a traditional boat. If you are from UK you can also learn some Italian, as one of us is from Italy. If you are from other parts of the world, in addition to Italian, you will have the possibility to improve your English.
We are based in Dartmouth, a really beautiful town at the entrance of the river Dart, in Devon. There are lovely walks up and down the river and coast, with castles and things to see. From the nearby town of Totnes you can also take the train to other beautiful parts of Devon, such as Salcombe, Plymouth, Paignton and more.
We'll ask you to help us with the maintenance on the two vessels - mainly sanding, painting and oiling the wood. We will also expect you to get involved with the usual routine of living onboard, including cleaning and cooking with the team.
The help is Monday to Friday, with weekends free.

Accommodation is on board the biggest of the three vessels : STV Leader. You will have a bunk, two lockers to store your clothes and a wetlocker for your outdoor gear. Toilets are onboard and the showers are at the Yacht Club.
Every morning from Monday to Friday we start working at 0900 and finish at around 1500. Lunch is usually sandwiches, to maximize our working time in the daylight, and dinner will usually be cooked by one of us. Every evening we will swap who does the cooking, so no one is tied to the stove during their stay.
Dartmouth is a very nice place to stay into : there are good pubs, a lot of clothes shops, some coffee shops and very good bakeries. We are moored in a great spot : moored on two buoys in the river at about 5 minutes from the town centre, a really nice an quite place, perfect for some relaxing week-end and for having trips up and down the river with the dinghy.
