Description
We welcomed a new baby to our family at the end of November, so are looking for a female workawayer to help in the home with the children, and help with cooking and around the home.
We are a young family who live just outside Armstrong, BC. We moved here from the city 2 years ago to follow our dream of creating a self sustaining permaculture homestead farm community.
Michael runs his own business as a financial planner and accountant, and Anna has a background as a nurse specialized in wound care, but now runs her own practice doing neurofeedback for people, which supports the brain by helping it to self regulate. It's helpful for people who struggle with mental health, learning difficulties, brain injuries and more. Anna plans to start seeing clients again on a part time basis in March so she will need some childcare for this.
We have a 5 year old daughter and almost 3 year old son. We have 2 big dogs, 3 kittens, about 20 chickens, 1 sheep and 1 goat. We also built a vegetable garden and planted a small fruit orchard last spring.
We enjoy going to the beach and camping, when we can get away from the farm.
We believe in taking care of our bodies with fresh organic whole foods, and make our own organic sourdough, kombucha, and raw whole milk yoghurt. This is the reason we have decided to build our homestead farm.
We also really value living in community and sharing life with others. We love Jesus and seek to follow Him in all we do, and share his love with others. We're part of a little community church nearby also and would love any visitors to join us there but of course if you're not interested that's totally fine 😊Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
Someone who is interested in farming and permaculture would probably find our home interesting, but it's not a requirement at all as we are looking for someone to help with the children and in the home.

What else ...
We require a workaway who is able to speak and understand English well. Sorry guys, but ladies only preferred for help with childcare. Also, due to having young children in the home, we request a workaway who does not smoke or vape. We would prefer someone who is able to stay a minimum of 2 months, and would prefer longer stays.
