Details
 - Description- We are a farming family with three children 7, 4 and nearly 2 year old. Our home is a rural property less than 10 minutes from Oamaru, a coastal town with a vibrant and quirky downtown and beautiful historic precinct.
Anna’s passionate about travelling, Will's passionate about being close to the farm! Wherever we are, we're happy if we have books to read and a sketchbook to daydream in.
At the moment we could really do with a helping hand around the house (some cooking and laundry), gardening (digging beds ready for vegetable planting, weeding), and there’s always jobs to be done, like help installing a hen house if some building skills were suitable.
You will be welcome to join in part of family life.
Workawayers will not be asked to help with any farm/business-related work.
 - Types of help and learning opportunities- Gardening - Babysitting and creative play - Creating/ Cooking family meals - Help around the house

 - UN sustainability goals this host is trying to achieve
 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- Inclusion in family life and mealtimes, exposure to rural NZ lifestyle, nature and visiting calves and cows if desired.
We would love to exchange and reminisce travel stories and of course share meals together from all over the word. Places we have travelled include Ireland, England, Brazil, Australia, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Spain (Barcelona) and Portugal.
Even in the busiest seasons we try to sit down as a family for our main meals, and workawayers would be treated like part of the family.
 - Help- We are looking for someone to help around the house during our busy season on the farm. Tasks will include helping with cooking dinner, housework, lighting the fireplace and bringing in firewood, laundry. There could be outside jobs like gardening, tree planting or lawn mowing depending on the weather.
Workawayers will not be asked to help with any farm/business-related work.
 - Languages spoken- English: Fluent
 - Accommodation- We have a recently renovated studio bedroom (queen bed) with ensuite. This is a private room seperate from the house. There is also a second king single bed in the studio (not pictured due to currently being used as a kids play ‘den’ haha).
We can provide shared food for main meals.
