Welcome to our place - a magical land in the south of Alentejo region in portugal.
A place where we create an alternative lifestyle - based on harmony between nature, humans & community.
~~~ we would love to find people that are interested to stay for long term ~~~
we are a family of four, Or (35), Noam (36), Nayo (5.5) and our little one, ya'ar (2.5).
Six years ago we started developing the land with a vision to form our own kind of paradise. A place where community lives in harmony and abundance with nature. co-living of people, all creatures and forest.
Community supports forest supports community.
Our paradise is based on three foundations - the individual, the community and the land.
LAND - our goal is to restore the native forest and create a diverse food forest within. Putting an intention of empowering the ability of the land to retain water. we belive that lush and healthy forest will lead to lush and healthy life. We wish to take care and bring love to the land that hosts us, help to restore all that was lost over decades of man interference. Over the years we have restored old wells, built a dam, planted big variety of trees, bushes & vegetables to achive a full ecosystem.
COMMUNITY - we choose to live life that is shared - where we are choosing in conscious communication and sharing from our hearts. Day by day we are working together, eating together jaming and exchanging life experiences.
We welcome guests and volunteers that wish to be part of our dream.
INDIVIDUAL - as same as every plant shines his beauty and thrive in his natural environment - so are we, human beings. we are aiming to create a peaceful and safe environment, a great playground for each individual to shine his/her beauty and to explore yourself.

whoever will join Furamatos will learn how to live profound eco-responsible life. we are a fully of grid farm - independent in water and electricity. year by year we are producing and growing more and more of what we need.
Help
The help in our farm is very much depends on the season of the year, every season brings it's special flavour.
almost always we have few projects in parallel, creating our paradise.
soil restoration, reforestation, food gardens, natural building and more are the fields we work with in on the land.
we'll be working with plants, seeds and soil.
we'll experience building in natural materials such as clay, straw and wood.
we'll be part in maintaining and upgrading the the farm operation,
Taking care of the chickens, our trees nursery, watering systems and more.
sometimes we have a big project and all of us are on it together and sometimes we divide for smaller tasks.
We always work in good vibes and keeping clear communication as guide line between us all.

we have a van or a tent. depends on availability.
there is a big communal space and a kitchen with mostly vegan and local food.
Breakfast and lunch we eat all together and taking turns on the cooking.
Dinner is freestyle from products that we supply.
What else ...
on our spare time we like to go to the lakes and ponds in the area or jump to our own little lake. we play music together, dance, and spend beautiful evenings.
we are located in Alentejo region - the wild coutry of portugal. within this area you can find different kinds of communities, markets and other events. we are located 20 minutes from almodovar and ourique- small towns with nice coffee shops and restaurants.
