    Description

We are a semi retired couple living on a one hectare property that is mainly garden. We (my wife Kate and myself) have one cat. Kate works from home part time as a tutor and Chris while retired is involved in a number of community organisations.

We have lived on the property for around 35 years and have developed a sanctuary that is quiet and secure while being very close to towns of Pukekohe and Papakura. Auckland, New Zealand's biggest city, is a little further afield but readily accessible.

Beaches and hiking are within half an hours drive from our home.

We have travelled, and lived overseas but are happy to make New Zealand our home.

Our children have been brought up here, but now live in different parts of New Zealand.

Our garden is mature and picturesque, but requires a lot of on-going maintenance with weeding, pruning, planting. and there are some improvement projects.

We would like to give visitors an experience of an extensive country garden, combined with opportunities to experience the highlights of what New Zealand has to offer.

The Auckland area is renowned for its beaches and outdoor activities and is a great place to visit. Pukekohe is a vibrant town offering a cafe culture and all services.

We would give work aways a kiwi semi rural way of life experience in a large established garden with their own living space to give them some privacy, but of course would like to share the greater part of the day with them.

    Help

We require assistance with property maintenance, which includes weeding, pruning, lawn mowing, painting and land scaping. The garden is extensive and is now 35 years old therefore requires a lot of maintenance. There is also a large vegetable garden which requires regular attention. In addition to this there are some landscaping tasks we are working on.

We would be also involved in these projects but require a helping hand to get ahead of the tasks,
