ENGLISH
This is a space for cultural exchange and learning. I seek to create an eco community between my visitors and the local communities. The exchange of knowledge and skills will make this space a cultural center in the middle of the Mayan Jungle. I am at the beginning of creating this project.
In the future, I am looking to provide a space for courses and workshops such as: healthy, vegetarian and vegan cooking, nutrition, phyto-therapy medicine, environmental education, bio-construction, dance, art, yoga and meditation.
My name is Giulia, I am Italian, but for many years I have chosen Mexico as the best place to live. I arrived for the first time in 2003 to visit Holbox and I ended up staying temporarily until, in 2010, I moved here permanently. I speak three languages.
I have many passions and interests:
- I love nature and I am a lifelong rescuer of domestic and wild fauna
- I am a chef, in the past I had a couple of restaurants and I love creating recipes with regional and local ingredients, vegetarian and organic if possible
- I studied natural medicine at the University and while traveling, I took courses and learned medicine from women. A couple of years ago I developed a line of personal care products and herbal medicine.
Please note that in the local area there is no phone signal at all and internet is working but not really fast. If this is a problem for you, then this isn´t the place for you.
My home is a biodiverse sancuary of peace, immersed in nature and wildife, a perfect place to relax, reconnect with nature and unwind from the crazy pace and dynamics of city life. This is NOT an atmosphere for partying. If you are looking for a social party atmosphere, this is NOT the place for you. But if you are looking for a peaceful place to retreat from city life and reconnect with yourself and nature, you will truly cherish this serene paradise as much as I do.

Este es un espacio de intercambio cultural y aprendizaje. Busco crear una eco comunidad entre mis visitantes y las comunidades locales. En el futuro el intercambio de conocimientos y voluntades harán de este espacio un centro cultural en medio de la Selva Maya.
En el futuro, va a ser un espacio donde se pueden impartir cursos y talleres como:
Cocina saludable, vegetariana, vegana. nutrición. medicina fitoterapia, educación ambiental. Bioconstrucción, danza, arte, yoga, meditación.
Mi nombre es Giulia, soy italiana pero hace algunos años que elijo México como el mejor lugar para vivir.
Llegué por primera vez en 2003 a visitar Holbox y me terminé quedando más de un año hasta que en el año 2010 me mudé definitivamente.
Hablo tres idiomas, tengo muchas pasiones e intereses:
-Amo la naturaleza y soy rescatista de toda mi vida de fauna doméstica y silvestre
-Soy cocinera, en el pasado tuve un par de restaurantes y amo crear recetas con ingredientes de la región y locales, vegetarianos y posiblemente orgánicos
-Estudié medicina natural en la Universidad y viajando fui tomando cursos y aprendiendo de mujeres medicinas. Hace un par de años desarrollé una línea de productos por el cuidado de la persona más medicinas herbolaria.
Le aviso que en esta zona no hay signa de telefono y el internet funciona pero no rapido, ademas es una oportunidad para desconectarse de las tecnologia.
Mi hogar es un santuario biodiverso y lleno de paz, inmersa en la naturaleza. Un lugar ideal para relajarse, reconectar consigo mismo y con a naturaleza y dejar el ritmo frenético de la ciudad. NO ES UN AMBIENTE PARA LA VIDA DE FIESTAS. Si busquen un ambiente social para festejarse y demás, NO sera el ambiente adecuado para usted. Pero si busquen un lugar para dejar el estrés de la ciudad para poder reconectar con la naturaleza y consigo mismo, de verdad apreciarías este paraíso sereno tanto comó yo lo amo.

We are located on the outskirts of a small village on the Yucatan peninsula . It is a beautiful place to rest surrounded by nature, silence and a totally starry sky.THE PEFECT PLACE FOR CONECTING WITH NATURE AND YOURSELF
I can provide you with a healthy vegan meal for noon and accommodation in the beautiful palapa (cabaña - tree house made with wood and palm leaves). If you prefer an outdoor experience, there is a camping area where you can put your tent and sleep under thousands of stars.
The volunteering that I request is 5 hours a day, 5 days a week with a minimum stay of 3 weeks.

My furry family is quite large so I will need your help with the care of domestic and wild animals, especially if I am not at home. I hope you enjoy the company of my pets as much as I do.
In your free time you can enjoy nature by visiting different nearby lagoons such as El Corchal, San Angel lagoon and Nativa Park. In the town of Solferino there is an orchid garden that you can visit and also get to know the ancient tree. It is an excellent area for birdwatching, since due to its location and richness of plantations, it is one of the preferred routes for hundreds of migratory birds. The town is crossed by the road that goes to the paradisical Island of Holbox. In just 20 minutes you can reach the pier to cross to the Island. In the main square you can take public transport or private taxis to go to Holbox.
Mi familia peluda es bastante grande por lo que necesitaré tu ayuda con el cuidado de los animales domésticos y silvestres, sobre todo si yo no estoy en casa. Espero que disfrutes de la compañia de mis mascotas tanto como lo disfruto yo.
En tu tiempo libre podrás disfrutar de la hermosa naturaleza visitando diferentes lagunas cercanas como El Corchal, laguna San Angel y Nativa Park.
En el pueblp de Solferino existe un orquideario al que puedes visitar y también conocer el árbol milenario. Es una excelente zona para hacer birdwatching ya que debido a su ubicacion y riqueza de plantaciones, es una de las rutas preferiadas de sientos de aves migratorias.
El pueblo es atravesado por la carretera que se dirije a la paradisíaca Isla de Holbox, solo en 20 minutos podrás llegar al muelle para cruzar hasta la Isla. En el parque principal puedes tomar el transporte urbano o taxis privados.
