    Description

I am an artist living on the edge of Daylesford in central Victoria. I travel extensively both in Australia and overseas to learn about different cultures, and open myself to new experiences.

I worked as a museum collection officer but am now retired so I am flexible with my time. Currently I am working on a sculpture exhibition from my studio so need to concentrate for blocks of time but will share my activities like yoga, bushwalking; and sailing and camping for those who stay a little longer.

I am seeking ongoing help maintaining my house and large vegetable and native garden.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I can share some of my activities -yoga and bushwalking, and for those who stay a little longer possibly camping and sailing. I travel regularly to Melbourne, Geelong and the Surf Coast and occasionally further afield to the Grampians and East Gippsland, and can provide information and transport with potentially the opportunity to share these places.
I can direct travellers to exhibitions, museums and cultural events that may interest them.
I am also familiar with local plants and birds and can share this knowledge on local walks.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You would have your own bedroom, but living and bathroom spaces are shared. It is a small house with lots of outdoor space. I cannot accept couples at this point. There is no internet access in the house, you would need to hotspot your devices.

I am not a vegetarian but do not eat a lot of meat. I try to buy local organic produce when it is available and enjoy cooking across a range of cuisines.I would appreciate sharing recipes and cooking with a vegetarian.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are a number of cafes and music venues locally, and heaps of local walks. Transport to Melbourne by bus and train runs return once a day, and buses run to Kyneton and Ballarat. Daylesford is in the centre of the Victorian goldfields so there are lots of historically interesting site around.
