  Description

  My name is Frank and I live in Biedenkopf, in the northern part of Hessen. I have been working in Marburg during the week for 11 years and took over my parents' house two years ago. My daughter Esther is currently doing an apprenticeship and lives with me in the apartment. The other members of my family live in St. Wendel, where I commute to on weekends.
  I am looking forward to receiving support with all the work in and around the house in Biedenkopf.
  
  Ich bin Frank und wohne in Biedenkopf - im nördlichen Teil von Hessen. Beruflich bin ich seit 11 Jahren unter der Wochen in Marburg beschäftigt und habe vor zwei Jahren das Haus meiner Elternhaus übernommen. Meine Tochter Esther macht derzeit eine Ausbildung und wohnt mit in der Wohnung. Die anderen Familienmitglieder wohnen in St. Wendel, wohin ich am Wochenende pendel.
  Ich freue mich auf Unterstützung bei allen Arbeiten im und um das Haus in Biedenkopf.

  Everyone in our family speaks English, so we can communicate well from day one. We would also be happy to teach you German.
  Biedenkopf is located in Hessen and is a rural area with good train connections to Marburg (a university town) and Frankfurt (Frankfurt can be reached in about 2 hours). Biedenkopf has great forests for jogging or cycling. I enjoy being outdoors, swimming, playing the guitar, and singing. Biedenkopf has a very nice outdoor swimming pool, a great castle with a local history museum, a few nice pubs/restaurants, and lots of nature for hiking and cycling. My cousin in the neighborhood has two horses, so there is also the opportunity to go horseback riding. In the fall and winter months, there are a few music and cabaret events. In 45 minutes, you can take the train to Marburg (a student town with around 25,000 students) with a wider range of sports and cultural activities (climbing hall, cinema, pubs, music events, museum, cafes, etc.).
  
  Alle bei uns in der Familie sprechen Englisch, so dass wir uns sicher vom ersten Tag an gut abstimmen können. Gerne bringen wir dir auch Deutsch bei.
  Biedenkopf liegt in Hessen und ist ländlich geprägt mit einer guter Bahnanbindung nach Marburg (Studentenstadt) und Frankfurt (Frankfurt ist in etwas 2 h erreichbar). Biedenkopf bieten tolle Wälder zum Joggen oder Radfahren. Ich bin gern draußen, gehe gerne Schwimmen, spiele Gitarre und singe dazu. Biedenkopf biete ein sehr schönes Freibad, eine tolle Burg mit Heimatmuseum, ein paar nette Kneipen/Restaurants und viel Natur zum Wandern und Radfahren. Mein Coussin in der Nachbarschaft hat zwei Pferde - hier besteht auch die Möglichkeit auszureiten. In den Herbst- und Wintermonaten gibt es ein paar Musik und Kleinkunstveranstaltungen. In 45 Minuten bist du mit dem Zug in Marburg (eine Studentenstadt mit rd. 25000 Studenten) mit einem größeren Sport und Kulturangebot (Kletterhalle, Kino, Kneipen, Musik-Events, Museum, Cafes, ....)

  Help

  I am primarily looking for help with renovation (including clearing out, remodeling, wallpapering, painting) in and around the house as well as help in the garden. Furthermore, help with household chores (cooking, shopping, cleaning, ironing,...) would be good.
  I am very handy and am looking for help with the tasks - but I would also like to show you things that you can then do independently during the day.
  
  Ich suche in erster Linie eine Hilfe bei Renovierungsarbeiten (u.a. Ausräumen, Umgestalten, Tapezieren, Streichen) im und um das Haus sowie Hilfe im Garten . Weiterhin wäre eine Unterstützung bei der Haushaltsführung (Kochen, Einkaufen, Putzen, Bügeln,...) gut.
  Ich bin handwerklich sehr geschickt und suche einerseits eine Hilfe bei der Arbeit - stelle mir aber auch vor dir Dinge zu zeigen, die du dann selbständig über den Tag durchführst.

  You have your own room . There is WLAN :-) in the entire apartment. The other rooms are shared. We can eat together - due to my job, when I am traveling, you may have to eat alone.
  
  Du hast ein eigenes Zimmer. Es gibt WLAN :-) in der gesamten Wohnung. Die anderen Räumlichkeiten werden gemeinsam genutzt. Essen können wir gerne gemeinsam - berufsbedingt, wenn ich unterwegs bin, kann es aber auch sein, dass du alleine Essen musst.

  What else ...

  St. Wendel has good train and bus connections to the nearest larger towns. We can also provide you with a bicycle to explore the surrounding area. At the weekend we usually organize activities together (barbecues, excursions, theater, sailing, etc.) which you are welcome to join.
  If you are staying for a longer period of time, we offer to buy a Germany ticket for you - this allows you to use all local trains and buses free of charge.
  If you have a driver's license, there is also the possibility that you take over driving duties (but I have to clarify this with the car insurer).
  
  St. Wendel besitzt eine gute Bahn- und Busanbindung an die nächst größeren Städte. Weiterhin können wir dir ein Fahrrad zur Verfügung stellen mit dem du auch gut die nähere Umgebung erkunden kannst. Am Wochenende unternehme wir meist gemeinsame Aktivitäten (Grillen, Ausflüge, Theater, Segeln, ) bei denen du gerne mitkommen kannst.
  Wenn du längere Zeit bleibst bieten wir an für dich eine Deutschlandticket zu kaufen - damit kannst du dann kostenfrei alle Nahverkehrszüge und Busse nutzen.
  Solltest du eine Führerschein habe besteht ggf. die Möglichkeit dass du auch Fahrdienste übernimmst (das muss ich aber dann noch mit dem Autoversicherer klären).
