Hello friends, thanks for stopping by our page and taking the time to read about us :)
In 2019, we started building our Tiny House and moved into it in March 2021. We completely self-built it in line with our values, using as many local, recycled, and natural materials as possible. We live surrounded by nature, next to a pond on the family farm, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day. We’ll be happy to share our little piece of paradise with you.
The Tiny House is surrounded by our vegetable garden, which provides us with fresh produce all year round. We try to grow the garden following permaculture principles. Anything we can grow ourselves, we do our best to produce: we have lots of fruit trees and aim to be as self-sufficient as possible with the fruit and vegetables we eat. We also have a few chickens to keep us company, and they give us delicious eggs :) Be warned though — we often name our chickens after former woofers… so your name might live on after you leave!!!
The garden keeps us busy all year round: maintaining beds, planting, pruning trees, small building projects, harvesting and preserving vegetables, etc. These are the main activities we usually need help with.
We live on a private homestead and we do not sell any produce from the garden to the public. Everything we grow is for our own consumption and for the pleasure of sharing. PH is also a farmer and we live on the farm land, but the you are not asked to help on the farm. There will be no money exchange between us.
We were lucky enough to take over PH’s parents’ old farm and convert it to organic farming in 2019. PH grows crops for human consumption such as lentils, chickpeas, chia seeds, and more. His sister also raises Angora goats, which are incredibly cute and produce exceptionally high-quality wool. The clothes made from it are sold in our small farm shop.
We also have several ongoing projects around the farm. Since returning from a trip to New Zealand, we’ve been thinking about creating a small Tiny House village and a small farm campsite, always with the idea of developing simple places connected to nature, encouraging sharing and community. We are also working on renovating an old barn on the farm using natural building techniques and materials. These projects are slowly evolving and are part of everyday life on the farm, so depending on the season there may be small construction projects, planting, landscaping work, or brainstorming around these future spaces.
The farm is located in Vendée, near Lake Jaunay, only a few kilometres from the beaches and close to Les Sables d’Olonne. If you enjoy nature, there are lots of activities nearby such as mountain biking, surfing, hiking in the forest, salt marshes, or along the coast.
We are a young and active couple. We love being outdoors, swimming in the ocean, surfing, and spending time with friends. Bea is originally from Ireland. We both love music, and we have a piano if you’d like to play. We can also lend you a bike to explore the area, and we’re happy to share a vehicle if you’d like to discover more of the surroundings. We eat seasonally and enjoy cooking together and sharing meals with friends.
For us, woofing is mainly about sharing our way of life, meeting people with similar values, and enjoying meaningful moments together. You’ll also get to meet Sammy, our four-legged companion and professional cuddle expert!

En 2019, nous avons commencé la construction de notre Tiny House et nous y avons emménagé en mars 2021. Nous l’avons entièrement auto-construite en accord avec nos valeurs, en utilisant un maximum de matériaux locaux, recyclés et naturels. Nous vivons en pleine nature, au bord d’un étang situé sur la ferme familiale, avec des levers et couchers de soleil magnifiques. Nous serons heureux de partager avec vous notre petit coin de paradis.
La Tiny House est entourée de notre potager, qui nous fournit des légumes frais toute l’année. Nous cultivons le jardin en nous inspirant des principes de la permaculture. Tout ce que nous pouvons produire nous-mêmes, nous essayons de le faire : nous avons beaucoup d’arbres fruitiers et nous tendons vers une certaine autonomie alimentaire pour les fruits et légumes que nous consommons. Nous avons aussi quelques poules pour nous tenir compagnie, et elles nous offrent de délicieux œufs :) Attention, nous donnons souvent à nos poules le nom de nos anciens woofers… votre prénom risque donc de rester après votre départ !!!
Le jardin nous occupe toute l’année : entretien des cultures, plantations, taille des arbres, petits projets de construction, récolte et conservation des légumes, etc. Ce sont principalement les activités pour lesquelles nous avons besoin d’aide.
Nous vivons sur un lieu privé et nous ne vendons pas les productions du potager au public. Tout ce que nous cultivons est destiné à notre consommation personnelle et au plaisir de partager. PH est également agriculteur et nous vivons sur les terres de la ferme familiale, mais vous ne serez pas amenés à travailler sur l’exploitation agricole. Il n’y a pas de relation salariale ni d’échange d’argent entre nous.
Nous avons eu la chance de reprendre l’ancienne ferme des parents de PH et de la convertir en agriculture biologique en 2019. PH cultive des céréales et graines destinées à l’alimentation humaine : lentilles, pois chiches, chia, etc. Sa sœur élève également des chèvres angora, très mignonnes, qui produisent une laine d’une qualité exceptionnelle. Les vêtements fabriqués à partir de cette laine sont ensuite vendus dans notre magasin à la ferme.
Nous avons aussi plusieurs projets en cours autour de la ferme. Depuis notre retour d’un voyage en Nouvelle-Zélande, nous réfléchissons notamment à la création d’un petit hameau de Tiny Houses et d’un camping à la ferme, toujours dans l’idée de développer des lieux simples, proches de la nature et favorisant les rencontres et le partage. Nous travaillons également sur la rénovation d’une ancienne grange de la ferme avec des techniques et matériaux naturels. Ces projets avancent doucement et font partie du quotidien de la ferme : selon les périodes, il peut donc y avoir des petits travaux, plantations, aménagements paysagers ou préparations autour de ces futurs espaces.
La ferme est située en Vendée, près du lac du Jaunay, à quelques kilomètres des plages et proche des Sables d’Olonne. Si vous aimez la nature, il y a beaucoup de choses à faire dans les environs : VTT, surf, randonnées dans la forêt, les marais salants ou le long de la côte.
Nous sommes un couple jeune et actif. Nous aimons être dehors, nager, surfer, passer du temps avec des amis, etc. Bea est d’origine irlandaise. Nous aimons la musique et avons un piano si vous avez envie d’en jouer. Nous pouvons aussi vous prêter un vélo pour découvrir les alentours, et partager un véhicule si vous souhaitez explorer un peu plus la région. Nous mangeons au rythme des saisons et apprécions cuisiner ensemble et partager des repas avec des amis.
Pour nous, le woofing est avant tout une manière de faire découvrir notre façon de vivre, de rencontrer des personnes partageant des valeurs similaires et de passer de bons moments ensemble. Vous aurez également la joie de rencontrer Sammy, notre compagnon à quatre pattes, spécialiste des câlins !

Help
Regarding the help organization, we expect workawayers to contribute around 4 to 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. We value a flexible and autonomous way of organizing the work: you will be free to manage your own schedule, for example by helping a bit longer one day in order to have more free time another day. Weekends are completely free so you can enjoy our beautiful region, go to the beach, surf, or explore the surrounding area.
We also prepare a list of various projects from which everyone can choose the activities they are most interested in. Projects may include garden maintenance, planting vegetables or trees, pruning and mowing, creating new outdoor spaces, different diy such as building structures and woodworking projects, taking care of chickens and chicks, as well as food preservation, jams, and more.
You will mainly work independently, but we will of course always be available to show you how things work, explain tasks, and answer any questions you may have.
Of course after the effort comes the reward: you’ll be able to cool off with a jump into the lac or relax and unwind in our Nordic hot tub!
En ce qui concerne l’organisation du temps de travail, nous attendons des workawayers qu’ils participent environ 4 à 5 heures par jour, 5 jours par semaine. Nous privilégions une organisation flexible : vous pourrez gérer votre emploi du temps de manière autonome, par exemple en travaillant davantage une journée afin de se libérer du temps un autre jour. Les week-ends sont libres afin que vous puissiez profiter de notre belle région, aller à la plage, surfer ou découvrir les environs.
Nous préparons également une liste de projets variés dans laquelle chacun pourra choisir les activités qui l’intéressent le plus. Les projets peuvent inclure l’entretien du jardin, la plantation de légumes ou d’arbres, de la taille et de la tonte, la création de nouveaux espaces extérieurs, la fabrication de structures et le travail du bois, s’occuper des poules et poussins, ainsi que la préparation de conserves ou de confitures etc.
Vous allez principalement travailler en autonomie, mais nous serons bien sûr disponibles pour vous montrer et vous expliquer ou répondre à toutes vos questions.
Après l’effort, le réconfort, vous serez à même d’aller vous rafraîchir en sautant dans le’ étang ou de vous relaxer en vous plongeant dans notre bain nordique !

Accommodation
Heated caravan with outside kitchen/ and shower/toilet. This is covered and has all the modern amenities like electricity, hot water etc. We like to eat seasonal food, mostly vegetarian.
