  Description

  Manoir surrounded by rivers in a lovely little village needs life and hands.
  I am Antoine, giving life to a 250 years old manoir surrounded by rivers and free lands of 10 hectares. I am 62 years old. My project is to renovate some rooms and buildings , create a garden in permaculture and a park to welcome guests loving nature.
  The village I live in is very small and hidden by trees at the feet of hills. Champagne vineyards are only at 20 kms far.
  After bad experiences with people over 50 , I only host young people willing to learn something, share french culture and good times together.
  Homeless, gypsies, nomads , no need to contact me.

  Your help should be seen as a way to learn something you don't know or enjoy what you're able to do. Our house is a real playground where you can choose what kind of tasks you want to do among the thousands tasks of the to do list : from playing the guitar to mow the grass or load a trailor of wood.
  I can teach french , make discover plants, trees , wild animals of our countryside, talk about sustainable way of life…
  The village has only 30 inhabitants, so forget discos and pubs but there are plenty of other activities such as canoë, bicycle, walk, meditation near a water fall..
  Some visits of little typical Aube and Haute Marne towns are possible with us : Chaumont(25kms), Bar/Aube(25kms), Troyes(75kms), Langres(50kms).
  As told before , no need to contact me if you just want an accomodation . I like to host people who share culture , time, knowledge, music and...beer.

  Help

  The help I expect consist in many tasks required for the maintenance and renovation of a big domain (like a farm). It changes everyday and I try not to do the same thing more than 3 hours.
  Gardening according to season (500m² for own production)  : it can be soil working, seeding, planting, watering, removing weeds, harvesting, storage or preserving…
  Maintenance of green spaces : pruning, mowing grass, trimming, sawing and cutting wood, burning branches…
  Household help such as cleaning, ironing, washing up..
  Painting and decorating rooms .
  Masonry.
  Cooking together would be nice too.

  Accommodation

  Two rooms about 20m² are available with a double bed. One single bed room. Sight on nature. Bathroom shared.
  No noise except owls, water falls and some dog barkings.
  The house is 250 years old and has nothing to compare with a concrete home box. Kitchen is 50m² and has direct sight on the river.
  Some spider webs can be stucked on the ceiling and a mouse can be seen before catching it... But be sure there is the modern confort we all find everywhere.
  In winter the house has central heating mostly by wood.

  What else ...

  Two bicycles are available, a canoe, a guitar, a djembé, music , books.
  We are on Via Francigena , a pilgrim’s way to Rome.
  It's possible to arrive in Chaumont or Bar/Aube.I will pick you up somewhere if needed.
