    Description

    Hi,
We are Camille, Alex and little Gaël, a familly living in the French far West.
The three of us have previsouly travelled with workaway in New Zealand and we'd be happy to host people in our new home in the West.
We would be so glad to welcome you, share a drink by the sea together, tinker and surf

Our house has plenty of little corners to relax but also can be a funny circus with Gaël running around in his dragon costume or the cat chasing frogs.

We both work part time in Quimper as a doctor and an engineer so you will have the place by yourself and can do your working hours in the morning/afternoon/late afternoon to explore the surroundings.
We expect 3h/day for accomodation+breakfast and 4h/day for accomodation+3 meals.

We could cook together for dinner and would be thrilled to experience some of your homecountry recipes :)
One of us will be there every evening, the other might go out as we re involved in lots of activites. You can accompany Alex to in tinker lab in Concarneau or Camille to one of our skating lesson.
After dinner you can spend the night by yourself or play some boardgames. We also have a tiny local bar 500m from the house named Café local, they are often hosting dj nights or Latino music concerts.
We can teach you few building/renovating skills, french recipes, learn together how to grow and preserve food :)

-Food gardening, tree and bush care, planting flowers, create a fruit hedge
-Small craft projects (bike shelter, refurbishing the chiken coop, improving our small greenhouse, helping us build the wood fired oven or even a nordic bath...

We are a busy familly, especially during the week, we will try to eat all together for you to enjoy the full French experience, but having a three year old in the house dictates early supper ^^. We'd be happy to provide locally grown (most of the time) organic food for you to cook on your own, if you are willing to eat later at night.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

It would be better to have your own vehicle to wander around Finistère, we do need both of our cars during the week. However, you can borrow one of our car in the weekend.
There are plenty of local gems within one hour drive distance: cliff walks around Cap Sizun (40 min drive), Crozon peninsula (1 hour), follow the Odet river, visit castles, grab a sausage crepe in Guilvinec harbour and observe the wildlife (seabirds, seals...), visit lighthouses, explore Douarnenez city and reward yourself with a kouign aman (local pastry)
You can borrow one of our many bikes and explore around : the forrest, the ocean are both 15 min away by bike), Roman ruins and typical villages around (Bénodet, Sainte Marine, Pont l'Abbé ...)
