Description
Ecological Farm in Puerto Tirol, Chaco - Argentina only 15 km from the capital, Resistencia. Run by a family who are looking for volunteers to help carry out the project by helping with maintaining the land, taking care of the animals and helping out with general tasks involving farming. We have a small amount of animals including sheep, chickens, ducks, etc. We would like this to be a nature-loving, self-sustainable environment and we are searching for others who believe in this philosophy and would like to share this experience with us!
We have a Guest house where you can stay . The house has a kitchen space (refrigerator included) and bathroom (shower included).
Because of the nature of our work, we need all volunteers to be committed to staying with us for at least 15 days.
Our family is composed of Beto, Graciela, Veronica, Genaro and Helena.
The surrounding area: Resistencia is the closest capitol city (of Chaco). There you can find many places to shop and eat. Corrientes (18 km from Resistencia) is a larger/older city (400 years old), easily accessible by bus from Resistencia. Corrientes is a nice place to visit on the weekends! Here you have beaches (along the paraná river), a beautiful "costanera" path (alongside the river), restaurants, live music, boutiques and many historical/cultural places to sight-see! Currently Corrientes is hosting the famous "chamamé" festival, folk music from Brazil, Paraguay and northern Argentina.
If you decide to stay with us, we would be more than willing to pick you up from the bus station in Resistencia.

Granja ecológica Ubicada en Puerto tirol , Chaco - Argentina a solo 15 km de la capital, Resistencia. Iniciada por una familia que busca voluntarios para llevar adelante el proyecto, colaborando con el mantenimiento de la huerta y cuidado de los animales así como también otras actividades de la granja. Tenemos animales menores como ovejas, gallinas, patos, etc.
Queremos que este sea un espacio auto sustentable, amigable con la naturaleza, por lo que buscamos a gente que comparta esta filosofía y quieran compartir con nosotros sus experiencias.
Los voluntarios contaran con alojamiento en casa de huespedes con cocina heladera incluida y baño con ducha.
Por las características de nuestro trabajo , necesitamos gente que este dispuesta a permanecer al menos 15 días con nosotros.
Nuestra Familia se compone por Beto, Graciela, Veronica, Genaro y Helena.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
The volunteers will have the opportunity to experience the culture and traditional customs of northern Argentina as well as its natural vegetation. They will learn how to produce their own food, how to tend to the land, how to take proper care of the animals and how to cook the regional cuisine.
Los voluntarios, podrán conocer la cultura y costumbres del norte Argentino y la flora nativa. Aprenderán a producir sus propios alimentos y colaborar con el cuidado del medio ambiente, practicas de cuidado de animales menores, y la cocina regional.

Help
General maintenance of the facilities, taking care of the animals, gardening chores and helping with the preparing preserves and baked goods.
Mantenimiento de la huerta, vivero, quinta de frutales, cuidado de los animales, corrales. Mantenimiento general de las instalaciones, tareas de jardinería, cosecha, procesamiento y elaboración de conservas y panificados.

What else ...
We are located at 15 km from Resistencia. Means of transport include: public bus and catching a ride with any of us when we go to and from the city. The nearest town to us is only 2 km away (Puerto Tirol). There is also a small shop at the end of our road (300 meters away) which has food and snacks available for purchase.
Estamos a 15 km de resistencia. Medio de transporte Colectivo interurbano, ademas vamos y venimos constantemente con nuestros vehículos. Pueblo mas cercano Puerto Tirol a solo 2km, kiosco- proveduria a 300 mtrs.

Organizamos los horarios de trabajo en turnos de 4 horas de modo que puedan disponer de tiempo libre para asistir a otras tareas o compromisos que requieran. La Granja funciona como espacio educativo y cultural. Agenda tu turno para brindar tu propio taller.
