    Description

Well I used to work in corporates and then decided to live in the Himalayas, so we built a place and sometimes rent it out. we are also a start up organic farm poised to become one of the leading product-based organic farm.

    About the place-
Our Place(2,300 mtr) is nestled in the serene and remote Himalayas of Gangotri Valley, though right now we do have a road all the way up to the homestay. Our village is just a 40-family village & is one of the oldest in this valley which transcends through their temples and wood carving and in types of wood pieces used.
As this is the last village, just behind our Village is a jungle which has a varied flora and also nests majestic Himalayan Monal, deer & ibex if you go a little up, you all find Asia's one of th heighest & largest jigh alpine meadows (3800 mtr-4000 mtr approx), it will take at least 5-7 days to enjoy the High Aline meadows and to volunteers we might provide a free service like taking them to the Alpine meadows.(But, volunteers must have their own food or pay the food cost to the shepards where we will stay during our treks & in the off season we have to trek, we must carry tents and utensils to cook)

    About the Organic project
We are the “forest people” and that’s what our brand name translates into.
We supply hand curated Forest products by mountain farmers to customers based across India & we are poised to go global soon. Few of our products are Himalayan Badri cow ghee (clarified butter) which is one of the best ghee you would have tried in your life, Herbs & honey etc. we have a website and is also present on other platforms.

    Homestay
Our homestay is a wooden cottage in the same village consisting of 2 private rooms , 8 dorms and a common room. i have got my own personal room in the very same house. we do have our own cave in the property also. Stay in he homestay(dorm) and one time food is on the house for the volunteers

    Nearby Attraction-
Gangotri & Gaumukh trek a 18-21 km hike from gangotri to the orgin of Ganges river(gaumukh), Pilgrims & trekkers go there for spiritual awakening to Gaumukh and some people stretches till Tapovan, Nandanban, Sunderban for a magical experience of lifetime.
    Numerous treks- all high altitudes.
& obviously our own High Alpine meadow trek.

    For buying things & stuff-
Nearest Town is Bhatwari which is 10 Km from here but if one has to go for a varied shopping like clothes or medicines - it is Uttarkashi, 30 Km from here.

FYI, pardon my typo errors and grammatical mistakes i any (i am sure there is)

    Help

As we run an organic online business we currently need an assistance with API integration in meta, so if you have knowledge in postman and glitch / helping on JSON files it would be great.

Since social media plays a big role for small brands we would appreciate if the volunteer is good in making reels and cogent content for our homestay.

We also need help with clicking relevant photographs for the Homestay and organic business, but i am clear on what i want from it & how should it look after finishing.

Also as we run this place as a homestay, one can help us when we have rental guests in terms of guiding the guests with trek directions and village walks (you will be trained of course with the trail before hand) & will be a brownie points for us if they can help us in kitchen for cooking family meals and exchange recipes also. Volunteers also gets a free meal a day (breakfast, lunch or dinner) in exchange of 15 hours help a week (3 hours, 5 days)

Since, our village is a base camp for the high meadow trek one can help us to promote our place as trekking spot also in social media.

Volunteers can also showcase their art & crafts creation in the homestay, we are quite artsy people at our heart :-)
