    Description

Well I used to work in corporates and then decided to live in the Himalayas, so we built a place and sometime rent it out. we are also a start up organic farm.

Our Place is nestled in the serene and somewhat remote Himalayas of Gangotri Valley, as one has to trek 1.5 km from the road to reach us (after derouting 4 km from the main road). Our village is just a 40 family village & is one of the oldest in this region which bears through their temples and wood carving and in types of wood pieces used. As this is the last village, just behind our Village is a jungle which has a varied flora and also nests majestic Himalayan Monal & Ghorel, if you go a little up, you all find nomads huts (where these people comes in the summer with their herd and goes back in the Rishikesh/Haridwar Jungle after the monsoon. After crossing this one would find high altitude meadows (3800 mtr-4000 mar approx) which is Asia's and one of the worlds largest meadows.

Nearby our place is Gangotri from where one treks for their spiritual awekenig to Gaumukh and some people stretches till Tapovan, Nandanban, Sunderban for a magical experience of lifetime.

Nearest Town is Bhatwari which is 10 Km from here but if one has to go for a varied shopping it is Uttarkashi, 30 Km from here.

  • Help

    Help

As we run this place as a homestay, one can help us when we have rental guests in terms of guiding the guests with trek direction and village walk in absence of us & will be a brownie points for us if they can help us in cooking and exchange recipes also.
Since it snows in the winter, very one in the village has to gather their own stock of wood and we want help from the volunteer also in this(not everyday, its one time or two time job in a week or month).
Since, our village is a base camp for the high meadow trek one can help us to promote our place as trekking spot also in social media handlers.
Volunteers can teach village student the basic English or Arts and crafts.
