    Hello!

Welcome to all you creative and authentic people!

Through this platform, I'm really eager to learn more about the world, its cultures, and its people. Theater, singing, music, cooking, and the arts in general are among my hobbies and interests. I also enjoy walking, gardening, and visiting friends. My son and daughter live in nearby villages. My house has a vegetable garden and three fruit trees, where my cats, Charbon and Banshee, roam freely.
It would be wonderful to organize and host local gatherings for cooking and performing in the village. I'm already part of a local theater group and a choir, which allows me to get to know the community very well!

Once a week, I teach theater to a group of people at an ESAT (a facility for people with intellectual disabilities) to help them prepare for and perform in plays.

Would you like to help with community activities, carry out projects, or share your culture? If so, feel free to send me a message :)

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Bonjour !

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I am willing to share my culture and recipes with others - I am looking for ways to share a simple way of life, focused on enjoying the little things and learning how to self-sustain (garden).

We can also listen to some music in the morning, and I can introduce you to several French artists through this nice little ritual !

My countyside village is quiet and the cities are not far away, you can easily reach them by train or bus.
I know places and would love to share this knowledge as well : there are plenty of hidden treasures to be seen, and I would be happy to show them to curious souls !

The region is known for Champagne and its history. We're within an hour and a half's reach (or so) from Paris. Reims as the city of Kings is a great place to visit. It has a few exhibitions a year in Champagne houses such as Pommery, some monumental cathedrals, impressive war museums (mostly WWI) , and other places to visit.

I can help you with the planning, and sometimes join as well !

    - I am a pretty sociable and open-minded person, so I'd be willing to chat on cultures, life stories, ideals. Everybody is unique, and that's what makes life so precious and fun!

    - I can share my cooking and gardening skills with you, from recipes to picking peas !
I like learning languages, so we can practice languages together too, I learn Dutch at the moment. I also learnt German but unfortunately did not have lots of people to practice with, and am interested in practicing again.

    - I am a gardener at heart and love to be in my garden, planting vegetables and harvesting. I would like to share my knowledge and experience with others. Letting you workaway alone is not my style, I'll be there with you and do it too !

    - There is some painting that could be done in my home.

    - We'll share meals, stories ... and a little gardening. A slice of life together.

    Accommodation

We share the house, and you will have your own bedroom. We will share our meals together but there is one 'little' problem with the plumbing... So we use a bucket to flush the toilet for now.

No drugs, we can have a drink together and you can smoke outside.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

My village has a small supermarket, bakery and a park. It is very calm. There is a lots to visit and see

Paris is of course 90m away by train, I can bring you to the station.

Let's talk Reims and the vicinity

Reims is 20m away, a bus goes there and also to Thillois, where you can go to the cinema and restaurants.
Reims has the place d'Erlon and the UNESCO world heritage cathedral and Roman monuments (such as Porte de Mars) which are certainly worth a visit. Look em up!

Many museums are close by, actually more than a hundred. Too many to mention..
Like Palais du Tau (for royal artifacts) Musée france40 véhicules WWII (imersive experience, sells artifacts), fort de la Pompelle (absolutely crazy), Musée de la reddition (small and very significant. The end of the war was first signed here), Musee des Beaux-Arts (modern and contemporary art) ... and so on !

There is an old public laundry in Hourges, 7m by car or a 1h walk too cool off during Summer
You can visit the Champagne cellars in Reims and in 30m away Epernay.

There is an exceptional forest close (35 min or so) : the forest of Verzy, the faux are an endemic specie of tree.
It only grows here. Beautifull, fragile and a blessing on warm days
There is a pretty lake nearby, lac de monampteuil 40m by car.
Fere en Tardenois, the hometown of Camille Claudel, is 30m away. There is also a medieval castle there, as well as in Nesle.

Six adults in colorful costumes pose cheerfully indoors. Decorations hang from the ceiling. One person plays guitar, another wears a nun outfit, and everyone looks festive.
An elderly woman with glasses proudly holds a cooling rack of freshly baked cookies, some shaped like trees, in a cozy kitchen with wooden cabinets.
A woman in a brown coat plays the saxophone near a firepit at night. On a table in the foreground are candles and bottles.
A person sits outdoors at a table, talking on the phone, wearing sunglasses. A blue mug is on the table, and a barbecue grill is nearby.
A grey and white cat is curled up comfortably inside a wicker basket, resting on green grass and looking upwards with wide, curious yellow eyes.
An older woman wearing glasses, a white knit hat, and a yellow scarf smiles warmly. She stands outdoors in a misty forest beside a decorated tree.
A dining table set for four with plates, cutlery, glasses, bread, cupcakes, dip, and vegetables. Centerpiece basket and potted plants in the background.
A sunny backyard garden features green grass, flower beds, white pinwheels, garden structures, some scattered chairs, houses in the background, and a black cat walking.
