    The Community
The workaways are like a family here. We have a large shared lounge room which is equipped with games, musical instruments, books and a projector for movie nights. There is no wifi but there is a library a 3 minute walk away and many coffee shops close by.

    Additional Info:
This premises is in an odd location. It's at the back of an underground carpark and while this can seem a bit funny to start with, don't worry, everyone quickly settles in, and it will start to feel like home in no time at all. The accomodation is bunk beds in a mixed dormitory. Due to the early starts please don't apply if you are a heavy snorer.
We are also a Hare Krishna spiritual charity so an open minded attitude to spitituality and culture is required. If you are interested in learning about this spititual branch there are many oportunities to do that here but there is no obligation if this does not interest you.

    The Projects
If you are interested in staying for a period longer than 1 month then the following would apply....
We have a small number of projects running here which involve improving the functioning of the charity. This would require someone who has genuine enthusiasm for the work we do here and someone who would be willing to get involved in project work in addition to the kitchen activities help us grow in all areas. This does not necessarily mean many more hours but a balanced working day would be discussed to suit everyone.
The current projects are: helping us with the interior design of our living space, reducing the impact of our work on the environment, social media to promote the work we do and increasing food production from 2000 plates to 5000 plates.
If this is of any interest and you have any skills that could help us in these areas, please state this in your email.

    ......

We leave the Workaway team to organise themselves so that the individuals can find their preferred roles. We provide an environment of freedom and hope you will feel comfortable, able to express yourselves and make your own contribution to our project. All we ask is that you take responsibility and show respect for the rest of your team and our project by simply doing the best that you can and having consideration for others.

We are based in an unusual location, so please don't be alarmed! After a few days, it will feel like home.

We have a mixed dormitory with eight bunk beds and some storage space. The dormitory is small so pleasedon't bring too much luggage and it is very important that people can rest, so, if you are a snorer, please do not apply, as you might be asked to leave otherwise.

The kitchen has a cooking facility and a variety of food items. You are welcome to enjoy the food that we make each day, or to prepare your own meals with the ingredients that we have.

The bathroom has a toilet and shower. You will need to bring a sleeping bag and a towel. It is also a good idea to bring a sleeping mask and ear plugs.

    ......

We do not have WiFi here. This is because we want to preserve our warm and friendly community. There are many interesting people staying with us from all around the world, and we like to talk to each other!
