    Description

    ¡Hola!

We’re a family with two little ones—Zen (5 years old) and baby Nui (4 months). With the joy of a growing family comes a lot of love, but also less time for our land and projects. That’s why we’re looking for a responsible and caring person (or couple) to join us here and help us, especially with the garden and some fun building projects in and around the house.

Our place is a little paradise in Northern Galicia, surrounded by cliffs, surf beaches, and wild forests. We’ve been creating a small homestead (1.5 hectares) inspired by permaculture and syntropic agroforestry, with the dream of regenerating the land and living sustainably.

We share this space with our friendly cat, dog, and chickens, and we’ve built a cozy environment full of fruit trees, palms, and relaxing garden corners. The house is still a work in progress but very comfortable. You’re welcome to stay in your camper (we even have a perfect platform for it), or set up a tent—whatever feels best. We also have a whole private floor available in another house then where we live in, so you’ll have your own place with more privacy if you prefer. You’ll have access to electricity and fresh spring water.

We offer our Workawayers a good lunch, usually a warm meal, in exchange for their help. Breakfast can be arranged in agreement, while dinner is something you’ll need to take care of yourself. Of course, you’re welcome to use our kitchen. If we get along well and our mealtimes match (we usually eat earlier than the average in Spain), we may also enjoy dinner together.

Because we now have a newborn, we would really appreciate help with keeping the plants and garden thriving. And if you enjoy hands-on work, there’s always the possibility of joining in on creative building projects too.

The help hours can be discussed together and also depend a bit on how many meals we share. As a guideline, we usually ask for help 5 days a week, for a part of the day – for example in the morning or early afternoon.

We’re lucky to live in a vibrant little community. Our neighbor Laida is building her home next door, and close friends Ben (a cook) and Nina (an artist) are always around for projects, food, or fun. Life here is full of adventure: surfing, climbing, BBQs, and creative collaborations.

Chris is an adventurer at heart—sailor, survival guide, photographer, and all-round nature lover. Simcha is a midwife, nurse, and dancer with a big passion for movement, balance, and boardsports. Together, we love giving our boys an adventurous and joyful childhood, full of laughter and connection. Zen is our happy 5-year-old with a big heart and bubbly personality, and little Nui is just starting to smile his way into the world.

If you love nature, animals, and the idea of spending time in a peaceful and inspiring place—while helping us keep everything growing, cared for, and welcoming—we’d love to hear from you.

    Happy thoughts,
Chris, Simcha, Zen & baby Nui 🌞🍃🌊

Discover the Raw Beauty of Galicia.

Living on top of a mountain in a tranquil area, we've found ourselves embraced by a warm and supportive community of like-minded individuals. It feels like a small family and you'll surely feel at home among these wonderful souls. Also our neighboors stayed with us as workawayers and felt in love with this place, so they bought the place next door ;)

Travelers who stay at our home will have the opportunity to experience off-grid living and learn about sustainable practices such as permaculture and agroforestry. They can gain hands-on experience in maintaining a homestead, caring for animals, and managing a rural property. Living in our community also offers insights into a slower, more self-sufficient lifestyle, where nature plays a central role.
