    Description

We're a family of four from Germany. Over the past years, we've traveled all across Europe and Africa in our beloved 52-year-old restored Mercedes truck, even crossing the Sahara Desert twice!

A year and a half ago, we traded our home on wheels for a different but equally exciting project: a beautiful 2-hectare property in rural Portugal. Here we're living our dream of sustainable, 100% off-grid life – with fresh spring water directly from our land and solar energy that keeps us completely independent.

The best part? We're part of a vibrant community of Portuguese locals and international families who all share the same vision of authentic, natural living.

Who we are: A wild mixture! 😊
    * David loves to build and restore everything from scratch – whether it's lithium batteries or houses, he's your guy! He also has a deep passion for trees. After learning to climb as an activist in Tasmania, he now works as an arborist.
    * Miriam works part-time as a consultant, helping digital start-ups scale their businesses. Her passions include cooking (she's constantly collecting and experimenting with recipes from around the world – ideally using vegetables and fruits from our own garden.) and romance books (ha, ha, guilty pleasure: she not only devours them but also writes them, having already published several books on Amazon).
    * Our two wonderfully wild boys (ages 7 and 5): do what kids do best: playing, playing, playing, and having endless fun! (Plus some kindergarten and elementary school when necessary 😉)

    Our daily life here includes:
    * Creating our home step by step
    * Growing our own vegetables and fruits in our garden
    * Taking care of and developing our forest
    * Working remotely
    * But most importantly: enjoying dips in one of the two rivers that border our land, or driving to the closest beach for surfing and kitesurfing

If you're excited about authentic, nature-connected living and want to become part of our journey, we'd love to meet you!

A man and woman relax together on a hammock outdoors, smiling warmly at the camera. Sunlight filters through the trees, creating a peaceful, summery vibe.
A blue vintage camper truck is parked in a lush, green forest clearing, surrounded by trees, wooden stairs, scattered sandals, under bright daylight.
This image shows a tranquil forest scene with a hammock tied between trees, hanging over a peaceful stream. A kayak floats in the clear, sunlit water.
A rustic bowl filled with fresh produce: tomatoes, eggplant, lemon, beetroot, chili pepper, peaches, and butternut squash, showcasing vibrant, colorful fruits and vegetables.
A pale blue colander holds fresh green snap peas, leafy herbs, and vibrant orange nasturtium flowers, creating a colorful, freshly harvested garden bounty in sunlight.
A rustic outdoor bathtub stands in a clearing surrounded by autumn trees, with smoke rising from underneath, set against a backdrop of distant sunlit hills.
A dirt path runs alongside solar panels and a lush garden with trellises, surrounded by trees and hills under a bright, partly cloudy blue sky.
This cozy, rustic kitchen features wooden floors and beams. Fresh pasta hangs to dry in front of a sunlit window, overlooking a green, tree-filled view.
